[voice - action for Roses][backdated to 14th Feb]
Can't say that Valentine's Day was ever really much of my thing...
But a competition for couples? Now that does sound interesting.
I hope the other couples aren't expecting that they have any chance of winning...
*Her voice almost purrs at that last bit, full of certain confidence*

Hm...? You say something Faye? [he stretched and gave a long yawn]
no subject
Me? Nope. Nothing. You must just be dreaming of me.
*Her voice was light and teasing as she reached to softly kiss his nose*
no subject
Musta been a good dream then, but not as good as the real thing....[he gave her a sleepy, cuddly hug]

..Happy Valentine's Day.
no subject
Thanks. Happy valentine's day to you too. We'll have to make it special....hope you don't have any plans for tonight? [he said jokingly]
no subject
I dunno... I had a few dates lined up but..I'm sure I might find time to squeeze you in.
no subject
I hope you don't mind but I have most of the romantic stuff lined up for tonight...but this morning I do have some nice breakfast planned if you don't mind me running out for ten minutes to grab it.
[he blinked a bit as he realized something was on the pillows with them...it looked like chocolates but he hadn't put them there]
Oh...are those from you?
no subject
*Faye smiled and shook her head slowly*
No, I don't mind. Breakfast sounds good.
*Besides, that ten minutes will give her time to sort some things out of her own. Faye sat up to look at the chocolates, frowning at them rather angrily*
No. They are not. I don't know where they came from.
no subject
What should we do with the strange mystery chocolates....
no subject
*Faye picked up the box to examine them, but she still didn't look too pleased. While the chocolates did look delicious, she was annoyed because she didn't want Thash to eat them. But she didn't say so because that might ruin her surprise for later*

Huh, oh well. Maybe this event is kinda like around Christmas when stuff just appeared on the ship like from magic or something....anyway. [he sat up, stretched, then started to get out of bed] I have a breakfast to fetch...you just relax.
no subject
When he was gone to fetch his breakfast, Faye went to her cupboard, hoping he hadn't been in there. She took out various things that she'd bought for him, and laid out on his side of the bed. When he returned he'd find a couple of large bouquets of red roses, a rather large starfish plush toy that held a heart that said 'You are my Star', a very fancy looking box of chocolates, and a small card in a gold envelope. Faye was beneath the duvet, but if he had the chance to look he'd see that she'd dressed herself up in some expensive red lingerie too*
no subject
Wow...is all that for me?
[he already knew the answer though and smiled as he set the tray down on a side table] thanks sweetie...
[He picked up the card, figuring he should read that first]
no subject
She bit her lip as she sat up in bed, drawing the duvet up over her chest*
You're welcome...
*She just really hoped that he'd like it*
no subject
Aw, that's beautiful, Faye. And I agree...some people think love makes you weak but clearly those people have never been in love.
[he took a moment to smell the roses then leaned down to give Faye a tight hug then look into her eyes] this is great, Faye...the card, the roses, everything. And you look like you might be a little dressed up under there too, heheh. It's so cool to have an awesome girlfriend like you to celebrate holidays with. I love you....
[and he gave her a firm and loving kiss to clearly express it]
no subject
Oh - You're welcome.
*And she did seem much happier feeling that she was being a good girlfriend and doing the right thing that girlfriends are supposed to do*
I love you too.
*She smiled happily into the kiss, putting a hand on his cheek and leaning closer*
no subject
Man, I dunno how the heck I got lucky enough to end up with you, Faye... Heh I can't wait to show you what I've got for you tonight...but for now, you hungry?
[he stood up and moved over to lift the cover from the tray, revealing a plate full of fluffy, buttery large pancakes and several little dishes of different fruit toppings, whipped cream and syrup. Behind it was a smaller plate of toast and breakfast meats... Judging by his dislike for sweet things that plate was probably his]

*Faye sat up straight against the pillows when Thash revealed the breakfast and she smiled brightly, giving a small round of applause*
Tha-ash, get you! Turning into a proper chef. I'm impressed.
no subject
[he lifted the tray to set it on her lap] care for some breakfast in bed?
no subject
Thank you. This looks perfect.
no subject
This island and this festival are going to be crazy...the ship even got decorated somehow.
no subject
*Faye happily continued eating her pancakes, careful to mop up as much of the syrup as possible. Then a thought comes to her and she swallows, pointing with a fork at his box of chocolates*
Oh, yeah. Those aren't sweet chocolates, by the way. I had them made especially - they're delicious, but not too sweet, and in flavours I think you'll like. I know you're not a fan so - yeah, they're not the regular kind.
no subject
I'll have to give 'em a try after breakfast. That's really thoughtful of you, Faye.
[he gave a warm smile] how are the pancakes?
no subject
They're delicious! Sure you don't want to try some? They're almost gone?
no subject
I guess it wouldn't kill me to try a tiny bit.
