Huh.

Time sure flies when you're not paying attention, huh? It's weird to think I've been around this place for as long as it's been, even though the first part of it's kind of fuzzy.

Still, it doesn't feel like it's been a year either, although I guess taking a trip home for a year or so in between before being thrown back into the drink will probably do that.

Pretty sure there's a lot of others who've been around here longer, though.

Oh yeah, it is pretty crazy. I don't even bother to try thinking too hard on it because I know I'll probably just end up with a headache.

-I have, although it was without warning, just like coming here in the first place. Most of the crew thought I'd died, but then I guess I can't blame them for thinking that when they said I fell off an island.

Then... if we can leave here spontaneously, what's the point of looking for the jewel? Would it just mean we wouldn't come back here?

I'm assuming otherwise you're not guaranteed to be sent home at all, much less stay there. There's not really too much information about the jewel in general, though, so I can't say for sure either way.
