This place is interesting as ever. Strange kind of weather we've been having, with that strange night and that storm that came out of nowhere and all. Hopefully you're all well.

Our last island adventure wasn't terribly exciting enough to tell the story, although I did meet someone interesting. More to the point, I'd be interested in speaking with Captain Harlock of the Triton's Mistress.

[He exhales and some might hear the grin in his voice.]

Naturally I would not turn down any conversation from the many striking ladies this world provides. Or, I guess, anyone else. I've found myself with a few minutes of rest to enjoy.

Maybe lower class pirates. It's a needless distraction, as far as I'm concerned. I never get caught up in such things. I've always had far more important business at hand, though I can understand the need to allow underlings to exercise their desires now and then.

When I was a younger pirate, I was usually planning raids, plotting the locations of enemies, doing risk and reward analysis, following up on leads, deciding where to sail next. That sort of thing. Important business.

Since I'm back at square one, I'll be doing most everything myself.

Back then, I actually had a navigator. However, I don't like to leave all the details of important business up to others. I still tended to check their work.

I don't believe in trusting others too much, either.

You'd be surprised at some of the things I can wrap my head around.

So you turned an enemy into an ally. Bravo, I suppose.

A pirate's career is largely built on those.
