This place is interesting as ever. Strange kind of weather we've been having, with that strange night and that storm that came out of nowhere and all. Hopefully you're all well.

Our last island adventure wasn't terribly exciting enough to tell the story, although I did meet someone interesting. More to the point, I'd be interested in speaking with Captain Harlock of the Triton's Mistress.

[He exhales and some might hear the grin in his voice.]

Naturally I would not turn down any conversation from the many striking ladies this world provides. Or, I guess, anyone else. I've found myself with a few minutes of rest to enjoy.

Hello again, friends in the journal.

We have made landfall at the most incredible island yet. Nowhere have I been where the sands have been so white and clean, ready for a nice relaxing day at the beach. Among the trees there are creatures of various sizes and in the centre a lush, fertile field with large beasts roaming at their leisure.

Having gotten rid of our chickens, our boat has been very quiet, however there are a great deal of strange beasts here. I've never seen an elephant so small! I wouldn't think this island is warm enough, but it seems to be fine. Just imagine the cool breeze from the sea washing over you as-wait, is that a fish walking on land?!

[There's a little clunking noise as Sinbad races off to investigate, telling his story completely forgotten.]

[Private to Ace]

[Somewhat later, he can be heard snapping his fingers.]

Right! I wanted to ask the Spades captain something. Vyse left his pet behind but also I would be interested in meeting you and your crew.

[The fact they've met before, he's forgotten.]

Do you think we could arrange something?

 Whoa-ho-ho!

[Sinbad cries out suddenly. He'd been reading the journals but all of a sudden there's a very large Kracken in front of him. There's the sounds of an encounter, the moans of the poor beast who is destined to meet his end in favour of something good to eat. He can be heard talking not far from the journal.]

See Ja'far? Food and jewels. Everything worked out fine!

[He comes back over to the journal and scoops it up again.]

Hey, did anyone else get a huge creature fall out of the sky on them? Looks kind of like an octopus....it'll probably be delicious!

Friends of the sea, let me tell you a story.

There once was an island in the vast, vast sea. The best way to wander the island can be found at the tops of the trees. An incredible path opened up when you climbed. The sunlight through the branches made a beautiful effect.

It was upon this island that the great and noble Sinbad did tread recently. There were pools of water all over the surface of the island. I came upon a deer as large as an elephant. I took up my sword and swung it around. Crack! I hit the tree! Swish! I swung through the leaves and the deer did not run. Curiously, it seemed to come forward towards me, big eyes pleading for mercy.

I spoke to the beast and said "Have you come here for a reason?"

But, being a beast, it didn't answer me, it just stared at me. I brandished my sword and shouted at it once more. "Did you come here for something?!"

Again, the beast said nothing. I raised the sword above my head, for I was hungry and Ja'far and I could use a nice fresh lunch. The deer made no move, it just stared at me.

[There's a pause and a dramatic sigh.]

I could not do it. I lowered the sword and put it away. After patting the deer on the head it bolted from my sight. With nothing else to do but resign myself to an empty stomach, I kneeled at the edge of the closest pond, cupped my hands and scooped fresh cool water into them. To my amazement, my hunger was immediately satisfied! I could not help but take another drink and a third.

All at once my limbs felt heavy and I decided I needed to get some rest. I dreamed dreams of vivid colours, the comforting feeling of fate watching over me and I believe I saw my future. A vast kingdom at my command. The future, this future will be realized. I awoke from my daze feeling much more at peace.

Although now that we have left the island, I miss the fresh waters that nourished me during that stop, but I must press on. A future like that won't just happen by staying on one island.

I did learn the island's name is Sweetwater, if anyone wishes to visit. A lovely, serene place where you will never find thirst and hunger again.

This journal is amazing! I've never found anything like it before.

[A small clearing of the throat and an attempt to sound older, wiser beyond his years. He is not entirely successful.]

My name is Sinbad the Sailor. I'm not sure where I am, but that doesn't matter. The sea is calling my name, the wind is coaxing me to the sea and I am in need of your help to man a decent sized ship. I've got a lot of experience and I can navigate the seas like no one else. There is no safer vessel in which to travel.

I'm looking for people with big dreams, a thirst for adventure and a desire to have a lot of fun. It doesn't matter if I know where I am right now, there's a vast sea to explore and probably some other islands too. Think of all the creatures we can find and eat, sampling the delicacies from around the world!

Join me now, serve under the captain that will become the best King of the best kingdom in all the lands!

[There's a pause.]

Oh yeah. I have a first mate, his name is Ja'far. Don't mind him, he just likes to scream a lot because he's so small.
