It seems I only ever address the journals with bad news.

[A small sigh. It's to be expected, but he's growing tired of the revolving door that seems to be his crew.]

The Uchiha brothers, Sasuke and Itachi, seem to be gone. This time without explanation.

As for this crew, we are low in numbers and in a bit of a bind now that we are, once again, in a shaky position of leadership. We have always maintained a casual air to our ranks, and that will not be changing for as long as it seems to work.

We do, however, need to discuss the matter of the Corpse King. He is showing his face again, this time with a growing armada, and I am sure many of you have revenge on the mind. Though I too would like to run my blade through his gut, we must keep our heads. This is not a time for reckless decision, and I will not toss you all onto the front lines against both him and the Navy, even if it means the slim chance of obtaining another shard.

Our absolute priority right now, I think, is keeping this crew afloat. I propose that we make way for Empieza for recruiting, as that time is coming up soon again.

I will be in my quarters, if you would like to speak with me in person.

[A few moments later, Red makes good on that and knocks on Link's door a few times.]

[Link pulls open his door with a mild smile. He backs away from the frame, inviting her in.]

What is it?

[secondsmarch]

[Red smiles back, and makes her way in. Link might also notice that she brought in the sword that he told her to use.

She takes out her notepad and begins writing.]

There's something I wanted to ask you, it's about the sword you gave me.

[Some more writing.]

I want to make sure I know what I'm doing when I'm using it.

Do you think you'd be able to help me with practice?

[forhylia]

[Link perks up at the request.]

Certainly! It has been a while since I taught anyone, but I will gladly help.

[secondsmarch]

Thank you for agreeing.

I really want to help contribute to the safety and well-being of everyone on this crew.

[She has something else to add.]

How soon can we start?

[forhylia]

I have nothing planned for the moment, so we can start whenever you would like.

Can we start now?

Of course!

[With that, Link grabs his own sword and leads her out to the deck.]

[secondsmarch]

[She follows him along, staying close and already looking forward to the experience with him. Once they're outside, Red writes down her next question.]
