Voice 2.0

So I wanted to do some like, 'research'- I don't come from a place with all this magic and whatever, so maybe somebody can help me out. I asked around and heard there's some places you can go that have like, healing springs? and things like that? but one of them at least turns you into a chick, and that's not really what I'm looking for, so...

I know at least that there's people here who can cure injuries and things like that, if you get hurt during a fight or whatever, but what if someone has an actual... y'know, disease? Is there anybody here who knows how to fix that? Or has anybody been someplace here that might have some kind of magic to do something about it?

Hit me up. I want to know where to go next.

Not that I'm considering it option A, but... y'know. In case.

He'd become a full vampire, despite me only being a dhampir. It would establish a psychic link, too. Even during the day, if he wanted to? He'd be able to contact me with only a thought. I'd be able to do the same.

There's... Some compulsion to protect. Because we'd be tied like that. Nothing too extreme. Not that I noticed with Victor, at least. Just a protective streak toward me.

Wow, yeah. Mr. White would hate that. He's, uh... not really the "psychic link" type.

But if it would keep him alive... well, around, at least, then it doesn't matter. I'll keep that shit in my back pocket. He doesn't have to know. I mean, he's got a son around your age, probably be protective of you anyway.

Again. Not option A. Just good to know.

I won't do it if he's not on board.

That kind of a thing? That doesn't go away. The bond of a sire and a vassal? Is a lifelong thing. We're talking centuries minimum. So.

It comes to that? He's gotta agree to it.

Well, in that case, if it comes to it... how about you turn me?

I mean- when it comes down to it, he'd probably agree to that stuff, the psychic link, the bond, the compulsion to protect- with me. I mean, we basically got that now. And I like you- I mean, I don't know you so well yet, but you seem like someone I can trust, y'know?

I could. If you wanted.

I mean. I'm new at this. I don't know a lot about how that'd affect things. There's... a possibility I'd still have a bit of a link with him. Not nearly as strong, I'm sure. But since you'd be bound to me, and he'd be bound to you, there'd probably be some of that initial bond in the second one.

Just so there's no surprises. If it came to that.

We've had people swap bodies here. Trust me. Sooner or later? You'll get to the point where you're just like...

"Oh. Okay. Must be Tuesday."

I should have known better. This place seems like somebody's creepy-ass computer game that they just shake up every now and then to see what happens.

...Yeah, a computer game's a pretty good way of explaining it. Or some kind of comic book thing.

Isn't that the octopus dude from Pirates of the Caribbean? I've heard a lot of people talking about him... So he's the one after the gem, huh. That makes a lot of sense.

Same name, same basic concept. Slightly different person. At least from what I've heard.

Supposedly some people have actually seen him. I haven't.

I would think you'd like, have to... die. Right? At least from what I've heard.

Dunno. I know a few people who've been here since we all started getting pulled in say he showed up then.
