First Night; [voice]
Greetings! I am Princess Luna, of the kingdom of Equestria. [You can't see her, but she just sounds like she's posing.]
I seek compatriots to sail with me upon my newly purchased craft, The Stargazer. Your level of experience does not concern me - those forcibly brought here who cannot sail must be taught at some point regardless. I know how to manage the ship well enough, even without tidal control. If there are profits to be made, they shall be distributed evenly amongst the crew.
Any who are interested may contact me upon this device, or find me near the harbor. I intend to leave this place shortly. In addition, Pinkie Pie, please respond immediately if you receive this communication.

Of course. I'll look for your ship?

[Luna looks up and down the docks, realizing that The Stargazer is nearly exactly identical to every ship of its size here. That is going to have to change.]
Well. I am here, I will be the one whose hair resembles the night sky.
[And she'll be standing there, continuing one or two conversations on her journal while she waits. She is doubtlessly distinctive.]
no subject
After all, he's expecting a person. Not a little pony.
He gives the dock one more cursory glance before realizing that no one else quite matches the description of "hair that resembles the night sky".
Remy is hoping that his eyes - while creepy - won't be too startling to her. And if they are well, they can both be a little weirded out then. But he makes sure he's smiling and, it might be a little ridiculous to look at but, performs an approximation of a bow as he meets who he hopes is the right person.
Pony.
Whatever.]
Princess Luna, I presume?
[That Southern charm better be good for something.]
no subject
Indeed, Remy LeBeau. [The eyes get a second glance, but for all she knows some humans just look like that.] Well met.
no subject
So. Which of these is yours?
[The only kind of boats he was familiar with had engines and maybe three or four seats. Nothing in the way of sails or anything remotely like this.]
no subject
[She waves a wing towards a craft of middling size nearby.] I suppose I must have the name writ upon the hull at some point, but gathering crew is more important.
no subject
A bit eager to show off that he's useful, he shrugs.]
Shoot, I can do that for ya right now if you want it.
[He figures it'll solidify his place that he hasn't really asked for yet.
After all, she did ask.]
no subject
By all means. [She wants to see this.]
no subject
He's happy he doesn't have to do any acrobatics to get close to it though and crouches down to get a better view before pointing his finger at it and concentrating.
It takes a very precise, gentle push of his powers. He doesn't want to over charge it and possibly blow it up and doing it under will just make him uncomfortable. It's a testament to his level of control that only the tip of his finger begins to glow and spark, like a fire was just under the skin and about to pop out.
Smoke curls up from the path his finger takes and it's not long before he's written out 'STARGAZER' in fine, even print along the piece of elevated wood meant for it's name.]
Voila.
[He stands and smiles, feeling a might proud at himself. It's been a long time since he's ever had to demonstrate that much finesse.]
If you like it I can take care of de back end too.
[He knows there's a more "shippy" name for it but right now he doesn't really care.]
no subject
I should not mind another demonstration! I have seen very little of human magic thus far!
no subject
Got more den dat up my sleeve.
[Just as little more explosive of a demonstration, Remy flicks a card into existence between his fingers and shows it to Luna before lighting it up like a star and letting it disintegrate in a slow burn instead of letting it burst up into an explosion and cause some damage somewhere he doesn't want to do much harm.]

[He wipes the ashes off his fingers and shrugs.]
I just make it get too big for whats holdin' it.
[It's the least scientific version of events he can come up with.]
no subject
[Luna knows more magic theory than science, but that's much less interesting than simply blowing things up, so she won't expound.]
In my land, unicorns typically specialize in one spell, or a family of spells, related to their particular calling. I imagine that would be yours.
no subject
You got any specialties?
no subject
[Explains her visual theme a bit, right?]
no subject
Remy lets out a low impressed whistle. It sounds kinda like what Storm does - except a lot more big.]
Well, damn. Dat ain' no magic trick, m'amselle. Sound mo' like de real t'ing.
What yo' dream magic be like, den?

[Being a thief leaves him a very narrow time frame to work in. Usually when people are dead asleep.]
no subject
[It can be isolating.]
no subject
Sounds lonely.
[Surprisingly, the man can sympathize.]
no subject
[There's a bit of an awkward and possibly telling pause.]
Though it has improved since artificial lighting became more common.
no subject
Lookin' on de bright side of t'ings, yes?
[
I'm sorry Luna]no subject
I suppose. There is a shop near the university that is open throughout the night and into the wee hours of the morning.
They sell doughnuts and cookies.
...i feel like i should apologize.
[This is the part where he's going to try and slide in the fact that he cooks. A lot.
Also apparently where he starts casually flirting with princesses.]
Makes 'em taste better, yes?
xDDD
