Hello again, friends in the journal.

We have made landfall at the most incredible island yet. Nowhere have I been where the sands have been so white and clean, ready for a nice relaxing day at the beach. Among the trees there are creatures of various sizes and in the centre a lush, fertile field with large beasts roaming at their leisure.

Having gotten rid of our chickens, our boat has been very quiet, however there are a great deal of strange beasts here. I've never seen an elephant so small! I wouldn't think this island is warm enough, but it seems to be fine. Just imagine the cool breeze from the sea washing over you as-wait, is that a fish walking on land?!

[There's a little clunking noise as Sinbad races off to investigate, telling his story completely forgotten.]

[Somewhat later, he can be heard snapping his fingers.]

Right! I wanted to ask the Spades captain something. Vyse left his pet behind but also I would be interested in meeting you and your crew.

Dunno! There's no one around to ask, just bizarre animals. A lot like the ones we find in the dungeons, actually.

Oh? You haven't seen a dungeon before?

[That means it's clearly story time!]

In my world, several years ago, out of nowhere this big tower grew up into the sky! No one had seen anything like it. It was a most mysterious place with a great big door, but the first people who entered were not to be seen again.

The government of Parthevia seized control of the strange building and began sending enlisted men into it. Ten thousand of them entered and were never seen again because you see, a dungeon is a very dangerous place, however the reason to enter is very simple. Inside the dungeon is a djinn that can grant you exceptional power and it lives in a room full of treasure, enough to make any man desire it.

The djinn of each dungeon are different, you see, once the first dungeon was finally captured, others appeared out of nowhere, just like the first. Anyone can enter, but they say those who conquer them gain the power to become kings!

No, that's just the flow of fate. Nothing to be afraid of.

Everyone has a path to follow, that's fate. Some people are liked by fate, that's all I mean. It's kind of like a wave that sweeps you away.

[Well, not him, but it's kind of an unusual skill he has.]
