To those who've swapped bodies:

If this condition isn't permanent, you need to pay attention to your condition after you return to your body. If there are any differences in your mental capacity, memory, physical ability or regenerative ability, use this post to report what you've observed.

[He may be cut off from the ongoing research at home, but that doesn't mean he can't continue it here. The conditions that brought about the transfer of consciousness are completely different, but still something worth monitoring.]

I don't have the necessary diagnostic equipment, so anecdotal evidence will have to suffice.

I don't know what the effects will be. That's why I'm relying on you to give an account of any abnormalities you experience. I've been keeping close track of my own vitals in my own world due to repeated exposure to a similar condition.

And what condition is that? Did you switch bodies with people often or something?

My body was placed under the control of another on several occasions, though my consciousness only went dormant instead of the it being a trade. It's also become necessary for me to undergo this for brief periods of time to keep our primary weaponry powered.

That's... Interesting to say the least. Was that something you did willingly or not?

Not the first time, but submitting myself for the research and to power the Valvraves was my own choice.

So what do you expect out of us giving you this information?

A better understanding of how what you call "magic" works and a clearer idea of how its fundamental particles function.

I'll admit it now, this type of magic is not something my world could do. I guess this worlds magic can however.

It should be possible, so most likely no one has figured out how to do it. The fundamentals are universal, but the applications will be different. It's not different from how advances in science and technology differ.

I'm not quite sure if I fully understand what you mean, but never the less I should get going. I'm on a ship by myself right now and so have to sail alone. Which isn't fine.

I've known you long enough to expect a response like that, but some reassurance that Link and I are going to be okay would be nice.

The most likely detrimental side effect is memory loss, but I don't know on what scale. I've never observed more than a few hours at a time before.

Well it's got fourteen centuries worth to pick from. Let's hope it goes for the boring parts. Link is not so fortunate to have existed so long, however.

I don't know whether it would be the oldest or newest memories that would be erased. There's evidence to support both possibilities, but, as I said, I haven't experienced it myself.

Was there a stipulation in your marriage contract saying your consciousness couldn't possess someone else's body?
