[A hell of a lot of commotion can be heard.]

[Then a loud, hissing snarl bellows out as he advances on it. The creature lunges for him, then cries out as Crocodile grabs the large sea serpent by the throat, squeezing hard. It thrashes in his grip, the tail smashing against the deck and anything nearby.]

Hm...On second thought, perhaps you'll make a decent meal. So many new species here to investigate, I'm sure some of you must a high-quality taste.

[There's a sudden, sickening squelch. The sound of a hook tearing through flesh as he delivers a killing blow. Then a thump as he drops it to the deck. His footsteps get louder as he finally finds his journal, which had been knocked over in the beginning.]

Ah, there we are. I suppose I'll have to keep this in a more secure location.

I can hardly know that before it's been properly cooked. While I can understand that you could eat it raw like the mountain monkey you are, I prefer a bit of proper preparation.
