[A hell of a lot of commotion can be heard.]
You don't have permission to be on this ship, beast. I suggest you find a lair elsewhere.
[Then a loud, hissing snarl bellows out as he advances on it. The creature lunges for him, then cries out as Crocodile grabs the large sea serpent by the throat, squeezing hard. It thrashes in his grip, the tail smashing against the deck and anything nearby.]
Hm...On second thought, perhaps you'll make a decent meal. So many new species here to investigate, I'm sure some of you must a high-quality taste.
[There's a sudden, sickening squelch. The sound of a hook tearing through flesh as he delivers a killing blow. Then a thump as he drops it to the deck. His footsteps get louder as he finally finds his journal, which had been knocked over in the beginning.]
Ah, there we are. I suppose I'll have to keep this in a more secure location.

Oi, maybe there's something even tastier chasing it! You should go see!
Re: [voice]

[if that's the case then...]
You should give it a piece of paper and see.

[and he wants to go see it damnit. Everyone is having fun but him]
I wanna go somewhere cool.

Once we get a navigator we're going to find our own mystery fish. [and a lot of other cool things, too] Maybe even ambifibous ones.

Can you hook that thing and hold it over the railing for me to slice its belly when I get there?

Voice to ACTION
What is that?
[She smiles to Boris and then looks up and up a little more and up just a tad more to nod at Crocodile.] Are you sure you wish to try to eat this?
Action
Action
[Heaving a sigh, the woman reaches up to slide her longsword from her back. The runes upon it gleam blue as if they are glowing.]
We should really make certain it is edible before we go to all of that trouble, however.
[Carefully, Elissa cuts a chunk of flesh from the beast, letting the wedge slide out upon the deck. Taking her hunting knife from her belt, she carves an even smaller piece, stabs it, and lifts it to her face to experimentally sniff at it.]
Is Boris still listening on the journal?
Re: Action
[Voice] Cuz Boris is being a brat with his hurt pride.
Voice through Croc's Journal
Will you do it as a favor to me, Boris? It was my suggestion that your heightened senses might be able to tell us something about this meat that we, ourselves, cannot detect.
Re: [Voice]

My existence? So what of it? It doesn't matter.
[Now to Elissa who.... Why is her voice coming from Croc's journal?!]
.... As long as you don't get too close to the senile old fart I will do it.
Re: [Voice]

Boris, we are both on deck, but I shall move near to the sea creature, if that will allow you to help us. If we can safely determine that this beast is not toxic, we may have a supply of meat.
