Yeah we've met a lot of princesses. [he nods]

She worries about everything. Mmm like her people and going to dangerous places and having fun and stuff.

I'd feel less special, were I not a pony. [Which she doesn't mean in the slightest, but even she is allowed to tease.] Are you saying I worry about those things less?

No way. Vivi is Vivi and Celestia is Celestia. [they were different people even if they weren't people] I dunno what you worry about.

Well, I have tried my best not to worry here, but I am always concerned with Equestria and the ponies within it. Only a princess who was a poor ruler would not worry about her country.

Really? [he thinks about this] I'd never wanna be a princess. That's way too many people to worry about.

I can't say that I had ever planned on it either, but as it turned out, I was never consulted on the matter... or really, I had no choice in it.

You decided to keep doing it, though, na? Princesses don't always have to be princesses.

They can be whatever they want.

I did. Equestria needed leaders and ponies who could help guide it out of the chaos and turmoil that had engulfed it for entirely too long. I did what I did because I wanted to end the misery and suffering of my fellow ponies. If I had turned my back on the position, then everything I would have done would have been for nothing.

Shishishi yeah! And that's what makes you so cool! [not that he knew any of this before hand. But knowing the details didn't matter. He likes her a lot so of course she's awesome]

That's a strange viewpoint for you, but thank you for the compliment. I'd have thought you'd look down just a little on choosing the path of responsibility and duty over dreams and ambition.

It's what you wanna do though, right? Anyway everyone should be free to do what they want. [nods] Even if they're jerks and I gotta kick their asses for it.

It is what I wanted to do now. At the time, truth be told, it was not exactly what I truly wanted... and it ended up that by doing it, I spoiled one of my fondest dreams for many, many years.

[She's curious to see what he will make of this, with his different and interesting outlook on life.]

[It hurts Celestia deeply to admit this, but it is the truth, and she says it without hesitation or any reluctance.]

Me and Ace sailed apart, too. [and it was a little lonely at first, but it was best cuz they'd both wanted to be captain] But then I got to show him how strong I'd gotten. [and now he was showing him again]

And here you could talk to her even if she's far away and hear all about her adventures!

And I think she would like it here, once she got used to it. Even more than I do.

[Her smile is bittersweet, because now as before, she thinks Luna would make a much better Straw Hat than she does.]

Though questions of strength don't come up between us. We are complements to each other, not competition.
