[She didn't expect to ever see Luffy again, she tried to not think about it, it made the absence a bit easier to deal with than by clinging to hopes that could or couldn't be fulfilled. Even when she hears Sanji's call, she doesn't hold up hope, even if he's back it's very possible that he has forgotten about them, at least about the ones who weren't from his world. He may be a "different Luffy" altogether.

Despite that, though, she takes her journal to answer and welcome him back. She takes a deep breath and makes sure that her tone is calm and serene, ignoring for once the soft snowflakes that start to fall around her as she pushes her emotions down.]

I hope that that squid you mention is your food, rather than the other way around, Luffy.

Do you need us to send anything for you while you stay with your brother?

ELSA! It's you! Wow! hahaha It's been a long time since I've seen you! [he's forgotten about that]

What's going on? How are you? I haven't talked to you in forever. Let's eat meat together when I get back! [He won't even try to steal yours]

[Maybe it's precisely because she refused to hold hopes that it shocks her enough to render her silent for a moment. She didn't expect that, even if someone told him about her and the others, that didn't necessarily mean he would recognize them or be able to tell who was who, no when all he has is a bodiless voice.]

[It's just like when she ran away from Arendelle and decided to live alone in the North Mountain. It's easy to think of it at first, to convince herself that it's fine, that it doesn't bother her. That she likes to be alone. But when someone came crashing and dragged her to a world where she could be around people she realized how much of a fool she had been, how much she hated being alone.

She had convinced herself that Luffy was gone forever, back at his world, not necessarily safe but able to keep chasing his dreams. That she would never see him again and that it was fine, just like it should be. But now he's back, he remembers and he even recognizes her, and she's honestly not sure if she wants to cry or smile or do both things at once. It's only now that he's back that she realizes how much she missed him and how big his absence was, despite it being such a short time it feels as if it had been much longer than that. She can't even imagine how Sanji and Zoro must have felt.

She forces herself to speak, trying to control her tone even as more snow falls around her.]

Ah, sorry, I... I didn't expect you to recognize me... Or even remember me. I take that a lot of time has gone by for you?

[There's a sigh of relief that wants to come out, but won't, not yet, not until he's fully back which means being on the ship. Still a smile comes to her lips at the very least and she allows herself to hope just a little bit that he won't just vanish again in the next hours.]

I'm fine, we haven't run into trouble those days and the island we're in seems peaceful so far. I guess that now we really need to search for that dragon so we an have a meat feast to celebrate? There are all sorts of creatures here, though I'm not sure if them all are edible.

[Like the unicorns... She would prefer if they weren't included in the menu, besides, they are invisible for Sanji and Zoro so... Who knows how that would go.]

It's been two years. It's pretty weird how time works but I'm glad you're back. [no wait, it's the opposite. Well whatever]

H'ooh there are dragons there, too? Dragon Barbeque is the best. I wanna have some of that and unicorn meat, though Zoro says you like them-- so I don't know. Even if it's supposed to be really tasty.

I really like really tasty meat but if you really like them a lot I won't eat any even if it's supposed to be super really deliciously tasty and the best stuff in the world.

Two years is a very long time... Now I'm even more surprised by you recognizing me.

[Even if his memories could be refreshed by Sanji or Zoro telling him about the rest of the crew, it was still a feat to tie a voice with a name so easily. And even if he remembered... That had been over two years ago for him and a brief time compared to everything else he has lived, definitively, expecting him to remember was plain silly.]

I'm glad that you did, though.

[Very glad, in fact.]

We have been looking for them but so far we found no dragons, still, with the way this island is it seems weird that there wouldn't be even one. We will have to explore more into it.

[A soft laugh that dies as she thinks about the unicorns. She's glad to hear that he won't eat them if she liked them despite how tasty he seems to think their meat is. In fact, his insistence on how tasty their meat is confuses her a bit.]

Who told you that unicorn meat is that tasty anyway? Not many people can see them to begin with, so I don't know if it would be even possible to eat them.

Yeah! Elsa is nakama. [and he'd spent a long time trying to get her to come so he couldn't forget]

You'll find 'em. But don't let Zoro look alone or everyone will get really lost.

[laughs]

Sharky told me! That was a long time ago... I can't remember when... But he said unicorn meat was the absolute best.

[or something like that anyway]

[The comment about Zoro makes her laugh... A lot actually.]

Maybe it would be good if we got lost that way, this island... It doesn't show on the maps and we were navigating in the direction Zoro chose, so maybe he would end finding something that tastes even better.

[Or ends not being able to return in years... Definitively someone has to go with him even if they don't give him indications as to where to go.]

I see... To be honest I'm not comfortable with it. In my world unicorns are said to be creatures of innocence and purity, hopes, dreams and everything good in the world. Then again, if they are like myths say in my world we won't be able to find them the moment we try to hunt them and if we do find them, I guess it would be okay to try it if you want.

[So basically she's making no promises. And may be hoping that they are unable to find any unicorn after all.]

If we can't get them, I promise I'll find you something even better. I'm not sure how or what it would be, but I'll do my best.

You really like 'em huh? [he likes that about her. She's so awesome]

[but thinking about what she said about Zoro]

Maybe that island is like a unicorn. [nods] You can't find it if you're looking for it. I like that. Hahh I definitely want to go explore it. It sounds even cooler than Candy Mountain.

[which had candy, yeah, but not unicorns or dragons or anything else like that]

Yeah, I liked them.

[Confessing it with a small amount of guilt.

She chuckles softly at the next part.]

In my honest opinion... It's cooler indeed. There are all sorts of creatures, not just unicorns, there are elves and fairies... And something has been stealing socks, though that shouldn't be a problem for you.

The weather has been a bit weird, but I think it will be absolutely perfect when you come. Should I sabotage the ship a bit to ensure that we don't set sail until you come to explore it?

[She's clearly not being serious. As if they would need to do that to ensure that they will be there after Luffy says that he wants to go and explore the island.]

No way. Hey, Elsa, listen--you can't joke about stuff like that. Ships are important. They're nakama. So you gotta treat 'em right the best you can.

[it's okay because she's not a pirate at first and not everyone knows about ships. But he does so he wants her to understand]

[She already knew that the ship was important, on many more levels than what she could imagine at first. But she hadn't thought that even as a joke it would be wrong, at least he knows that it was a joke, it makes her feel less horrible.]

I see... I'm sorry, Luffy. I would never do that, but now I won't even joke about it, I understand that it was rude and of bad taste.

[Even more so if the ship is considered nakama as well, had she known that bit it would have never even crossed her mind.]

haha Don't worry. It's okay. [he smiles fondly, even though she can't see it] Thanks for waiting for me.

There's no need for thanks, you're our captain, we will always wait for you. So don't worry about us and just enjoy your time with your brother.

[After all if Luffy hasn't seen his brother in two years either, which could be entirely possible as they were in different crews even back there, he would want to be with him the most right now.]
