I may need to secure more of it, but for the moment I'll require as much as I can obtain. Unfortunately, the ship I've commandeered has run out of it and I would prefer to make these binds as comfortable as I can manage.

Sir! I've apprehended the crew of a pirate ship looking to barge into the local pirate race and cause havoc!

I spent the morning listening to their plans and when I established a proper baseline for their motivations, I took action.

Coby, if you're planning to turn them over to the Navy here, you already know they won't minimize cruelty, and you should probably just cut one of the sail lines and tie as many of them as you can around their main mast.

Practicality matters more than rules that do not even apply to this world. Got it?

I don't believe I can remove the main lines without sacrificing keeping the sails bound. If they're caught in the wind, the ship could be drawn in and crash before the Navy finds them...

Just the same, I can't assume that the Navy would do anything cruel to them. I cannot let experience--... I cannot let my assumptions dictate my actions in this circumstance.

Then stop trying to tie them individually and just bind them together. Speaking from experience it's not cruel, and it's their own inability to cooperate that does them in.
