 [the sounds of waves gently lapping against the side of a ship can be heard for a few seconds before a slightly concerned voice can be heard]

hey.... There's people in the water. I dunno if they're a threat or not. They swim away when I try to confront 'em...then as soon as I get back i
on the ship, they come back! What the heck....

[he doesn't sound too happy about their presence, but doesn't know what to do about it. He almost wants to attack them but they don't seem to be doing any harm]

Anybody know what's up with this? Has it happened before to those of you that have been here a while?

It's fine for now, but after we're done with this race, we'll have to. It isn't as if I don't trust you two-- [Yes it is.] --but I'd like perfection! Of course, I'd have to talk to Mr. Kirkland first, but that's a formality.

...if you can figure anything out about them, even a quick description from what you see down there, let me know! I'd like to catalogue it for later.

Heh...I don't think that'll be necessary, but alright.

[if he found out there were damaging the ship somehow he was more than willing to fight them off himself, which would be much faster than mines. But still, mines could be practical if they turned out to be a chronic threat or something]
