Davy Jones can bring you back from being murdered, but let's see what he can do with someone who is burned almost to death, shall we?

If you do not have respect for the sanctity of the lives of those around you, then I shall have no respect for you.

Yeah. I've done worse than this, too. Dunno why everybody's so angry. Was that forest really popular or something?

I couldn't say. I don't know anything about the forest. What I do know is that whoever is 'innocent' appears to be completely relative.

All humans do bad things. You can't go around deciding some are worse than others without becoming bad yourself. You don't know what the people on the island did or didn't do. Human judgement is a waste of time.

When you did whatever things you did, did you deem them necessary and just for the situation?

All humans do bad things. I agree with that. I have done my share of both good and bad deeds in my lifetime. The Navy actively seeks to do all of us harm by imprisonment or worse. To me, that makes them far worse than a smiling shopkeeper who is happy to sell me his wares. Do you see the difference?

Oh I see, so you base your judgments on being self-serving then. It's okay if they're out to get you, but if that shopkeeper goes home and lays a hand on his wife every night, that's perfectly alright.

Because all humans perform sins, because they can be led astray into temptation, it is not their place to pass judgement. There is a reason Gods exist.

If I learned the shopkeeper did such things, then I would put a stop to that as well. Are you saying that tis perfectly fine for good people to lose their homes since it might just happen to get someone less-than-good as well?

The definition of 'good people' and innocent are completely relative and completely impossible. Everyone does bad things. It isn't your place to judge which is worse, who is worse. You don't know the Navy is all that evil either. That Captain could have just brought life into the world. It's impossible for humans to know this.

Honestly, it's none of my business and I don't get involved unless my shinki is the one doing it, or I've been hired to help. Unless a formal request from my father is made. Then I perform my duties as expected.

Right. So, it doesn't bother you that people are being harmed for no good reason, then?

First of all, you can't know the reason which is what I am trying to get across to you. You can't know what these people did or didn't do.

And no, no it doesn't, not really. Humans die, it's just what happens, it's part of their fate. Those who are malicious suffer in the afterlife, and maybe don't make it to another life cycle. Those that are good continue to be good. But my definition of good and yours is completely different.
