Ha ha ha! I must say, the creatures in this world are amazing. Many are the same as they are back home, if a bit smaller. The rest are so unique that they are truly beyond imagining. It's wonderful, all the things I've been learning since I got here. Currency, sailing, cooking, haggling, exploring, religions, worlds beyond the one I know. So much to take in.

Oh, and I have managed to find myself a wonderful friend in the form of a Miss Fuu Hououji. We've snagged ourselves a small boat and are doing well, despite a few missteps.

[His breath hitches as he feels a tug on his tail, which is trailing in the water. There's a sudden ROAR, followed by a loud splash as his massive paw displaces water. He drags a large something up onto the deck.]

And such large and delicious fish, as well! I must say, this "cooking" thing you humans have come up with makes them taste even better.

I didn't know what cooking even was, until a short while ago.

Well, not just her. I always look in on what humans are doing, while in port.

Well, normally humans can't understand animal-speech, but this place is very different.

I know that... [He chuckles a little bit] Still, I always knew that animals were much more human than some people like to give them credit for. It's wonderful to meet someone who can prove it. [Yeah, he's just accepting you're a tiger]

Well, it's understandable. We all have our own languages, we just can't understand each other. That's part of what allows predators to eat their prey without feeling too bad about it.

Mm... Even if one speaks the same language, it doesn't always help... Especially with humans.

Humans tend to fight, just to fight. They see differences and feel it's a reason for war. No prey, just pure bloodshed.

Although, I know many who are not that way...

So, what meal is it you have found to be the most delicious so far?

I've found a creature called an "eel" that lives in the deeper areas that is quite good.

Oh... I'm not terribly fond of eels I'm afraid. They would seem hard to catch, among other things I have heard about them.

They are rather slimy, but once properly prepared they are quite enjoyable.

Maybe. Yet I once heard people were fed to them. Not sure if it's really true, or a story, but I'm still cautious.

What's sushi? I just eat it as is.

Sushi is pretty much raw fish but with like added extras on it. I guess that is the best way to explain it.
