[Okay, where was she? She has no idea what is happening or going on but she has found a hiding spot on the ship and then sees a strange. She goes to open it and lets out frighten and scared chirps.]

Wh-Where am I? Where's mommy? Where are my sisters?

Mommy..... where are you, Mommy?

[ooc: Leanne has no memories of being here and only has the memories up to the night when the sleeping spell was placed on her.]

Yeah. There was a fire in Serenes. I remember it, too.

[Naesala gets down on level with her. If she still wants to hold onto his leg, he'll let her. He just wants to get her to a point where she's not so scared and upset and work from there.]

I'm sorry. I don't know where your family is, or how to get back to the forest. But if you want, I can help you try to look for them, hm? [Because the alternative explanations are too depressing.] You know us ravens, right?

A fire? How did it happen?

[She watches him as he moves more level with her and doesn't quite cling to his leg but instead moves to one of his hands to hold unto.]

I would like that...[She wouldn't have to explain what the Queen looks like.] I do! Ravens are the bestest birds ever.

[Plus, fake engagement to Naesala and having her being one of her few playmates. Yup. Ravens are awesome man.]

It...ah. [lie] No one knows for sure.

[He takes her hand in kind, giving it a small squeeze.]

Heh...that's right. Which means you know you can trust me. [But she doesn't know it's him. Ahh, maybe it's better that way.] So don't be frightened when I tell you there are a lot of beorc around here right now. They're not here to hurt you, I promise. Many of them are even just as confused and scared as you are.

[another hand sqeeze, and a soft smile] And if we're going to look for your mother, you have to get near some of them. Is that alright with you?

But Momma is safe, right?

[She goes to let out one last hic-sob and nods her head at the hand squeeze.] So none of them will hurt me? [She does trust him cause he is a raven and ravens don't lie.] I will trust you about them.

[But then the other squeeze and smile.] If it is to help find Momma I can do that. [Momma will make everything safe and better cause that is what Mommas do.]

[damn it, Leanne] Yeah. Don't worry about her, okay? Everything's going to be fine.

[It's like she's turned into half mind-numbingly adorable, half distressingly heartbreaking, and he can't do a thing about it except lie to right her face.

He opens his free hand, palm out, as an invite to carry her if she'd like.] Good! You're a brave one. We can look around now, or we can stay put if you're still uncomfortable. I'm entirely at your service, little one.

[You know. Just like always.]

I am glad that Momma's going to be okay.

[Hey man, she can't help it being this way and and..... Oooo! She will take that invite to be carried. Being carried is always so much better then walking and also is so much safer as well. She giggles while being picked up.]

If only it will help find Momma. [Yes, she isn't gonna lie and say that she isn't scared but... Okay, gonna give this mystery Raven a hug.] And also you will protect me right? From anything bad. [Puppy eyes.] So we can go and look now?

[Naesala gently hefts her up as he stands, holding her steady in his arms.]

That's right. If you're with me, you're safe. [He starts walking away from her hiding spot, intent on getting them out into the open on deck. He always feels caged inside the confines of the ship, and it's probably a good idea for Leanne to get fresh air.] We'll look all over for her. Inside, outside; to the top of the sky, if we have to.
