'Kay, seriously. WHY THE HELL'RE WE GOIN' 'ROUND THIS DAMN REEF 'GAIN? Been circlin' this shitty thing for like a MONTH or some shit. Honestly!

[OKAY so it's only been a couple of weeks. But still.]

Runnin' outta damn fish 'round here cuz the schools is all swimmin' off. Not that anyone other'n maybe Nami gives a shit, but if we don't head off for an island soon Y'ALL'RE GONNA BE BITCHIN' 'BOUT STORES AN' SHIT. Did someone let Marco drive or somethin'?

Really though there's somethin' important I wanted t' say. 'Bout swimmin'. This's mostly for the Spades cuz I ain't 'round no one else t' fish y' outta the deep but it's a good thing for y' t' talk 'bout in yer crews. Who the hell knows how t' swim? Who don't know how t' swim but could learn? How many a y' out there's a bunch a shitty hammers an' all y' can do is sink? If yer a Spade, sound off here before I find y'. Else we'll find out the fun way which ones a y' float, sheheheheheh!!!

[True to his word, Namur will be stalking about both the Sun and the Moon. If he catches someone that hasn't already talked to him about their ability to swim (or lack thereof) he'll promptly throw them overboard. For science, or some shit.]

[It all happens so fast that Nami has little to no time to actually... react. Still submerged underwater, she just kind of looks at Namur.]

What was that for?

[She doesn't really sound angry or upset. Just confused.]

[Epic killjoying, right there Nami. Namur looks kind of bummed.]

[He swims a circle around her- as he does- then figures she obviously needs more of an explanation than that.]

A'ight so usually when someone gets grabbed an' hauled overboard they kinda yelp an' scream at y' an' shit. 'S funny. Cuz they ain't hurt an' they'll start laughin' soon but right at first they're surprised cuz they wasn't expectin' it.

[Also it's a good way to get his hands on girls but shhh even Namur knows not to actually say that to a woman.]

Annn' that sounds really stupid sayin' it out loud.

[Namur runs his hand over the back of his head, blushing a little.]

[Your weird surface world ways are strange to her okay.]

Oh.

[That does sound kind of weird, though she more or less gets it.]

I think that applies more to humans instead of someone who's lived underwater for most of their life.

[Though Nami does have one lingering question.]

... Now what do we do?

Plenty a 'maids an' fishwomen'll react too. 'S the fall not the water that does it.

[Yeah, he's still feeling pretty stupid though. But he grins anyway.]

Take a stroll, go for a dive, play with dolphins, bully sharks, I dunno. Whatever. Make the most a jus' gettin' t' hang out an' not worry 'bout no one drownin', I guess. Sheheh.

[Or she could jump back up on the ship and he'll try to pretend he doesn't feel like the goober of the century. That's an option, too.]

Usually whoever got dunked is tryin' t' catch me t' slug me or some shit so y' kinda mucked up my groove, y' know?

[Namur's blush gets a little deeper. He's doing his best to pretend it's not even there.]

[Though Nami being in the water like that has managed to bring out the lingering sea life.]

Why wouldn't they? Them li'l pretty colored ones ain't worth bitin' at so they ain't gotta worry. 'S the bastards eatin' them that I been eatin', an' there's still plenty a them 'round. Jus' didn't wanna wipe 'em out so I lied a li'l bit.

[He laughs, because you're not supposed to admit so casually that you're a liar, but he did anyway. He takes her hand and tugs her toward the depths below.]

C'mon, let's go for a stroll huh?

[As far as she's concerned, it's always a good feeling to be able to head into the ocean for a swim. And having company like Namur around made it that much more enjoyable.

She swam along with him, never really letting go of his hand as they headed deeper and deeper.]

I've always wondered, if the oceans here are at all similar to the ones back home.

[Namur doesn't mind in the least- it's more fun this way after all. He can draw her into a spiral with him, make sure she doesn't get lost as they weave through a kelp forest, always angling downward toward the thinly lit twilight zone below.]

Y'd be the best t' know. 'S pretty similar t' my home's oceans, jus' a hell of a lot more kraken an' less seakings. Lot 'bout this world's pretty similar though. 'Stead a Marines y' got Navy. 'Stead a seakings, krakens. 'Stead a the Grand Line y' got Isla Empieza that always seems t' be right there y' know? 'Stead a One Piece y' got the Piedra Roja everybody's goin' hog wild over. 'S kinda crazy.

[Namur pulls up abruptly, stopping short just in front of her so her own momentum will push her up close. He splays his webbed hands wide against hers, palm to palm.]

Maybe we'll find more a us too, sometime. Have a li'l adventure down on Merman Island 'stead a Fishman Island. Sheheh!

[Shit she has such pretty eyes. It's a shame they're half covered by that bigass helmet.]

What kinda world y' come from, that y' gotta wear shit like this all the time?

[He flicks it so it pings just a little.]

The ocean is a pretty big place, Namur.

[She looks at their hands, pressed and splayed together like that.]

Even before I left my home, we'd still have to defend ourselves. Surface dwellers wear armor to protect themselves, right? it's the same for my kind. [Though it's not that much considering it's just a few pieces of armor.]

If you're that interested my headpiece, I could look into having one made for you.

We could even match, if you wanted it that way.

[Namur smirks. Then his hands harden, and turn a deep metallic black. It bleeds up his arms and over his face and head, glinting faintly in the half-light.]

Don't need it.

[As quickly as it appeared, the inky blackness disappears.]

Understand the idea a usin' armor an' shit. 'S jus' I never seen y' not wearin' it. Like y' expect t' need it any second now, catch me? 'S that jus' cuz a bein' here an' worryin' 'bout the Marines or d' yer people jus' always wear it cuz y' gotta fight seakings day an' night or what? Like, don't y' ever jus' relax without the weight a it on yer head?

I take it off every now and again. Maybe you just haven't been around when I do. And some of the crew has already seen me without it.

But I think... I'm so used to fighting that it's gotten to a point where I sometimes forget I even have it on.

If it's that big of a deal to you I can just take it off right now.

[Maaan, he just showed her he can cover himself in hardened willpower and she didn't even blink. But he did just realize how awkward what he's been saying is, and his nose and cheeks brighten to a purplish pink.]

Naw, look that ain't... Mean. If y' wanna that's cool but. Look I was askin' 'bout yer world, where y' come from. Y' ain't really told any stories, y' know? 'S jus'... we gotta fight monsters. But that ain't really sayin' much when y' get down t' it. Tryin' t' make conversation, learn what yer people's like. Shit, nevermind. Don't wanna talk 'bout it, guess there ain't nothin' I can do 'bout it.

[Sometimes Namur really wished he was better at being smooth. This would definitely be one of those times. He can feel heat in his ears, that's how deep he's blushing and he hates that, too. He turns and swims ahead so she can't see it as much.]

[Nami could just leave it there, with Namur awkwardly ending the conversation and just moving on with their day. She follows along, and after a few moments, speaks once again.]

Where exactly did you want me to begin? There's a lot I could say about Runeterra, the League and it's champions.

Well, that's a pretty good start. Didn't even know yer from a place called Runeterra. What's the League?

It's called the League of Legends. They're an organization that sets up these... battles against all sorts of champions.

That's me, by the way, I fight there too.

[So yeah, she's kind of a badass.]

Thought y' was all hurryin' t' find a stone for yer people or whatever. Or was the League somethin' y' done before that?

[It sounds cool. He looks appropriately impressed.]

I was, and I still am. But I didn't have anywhere else I could go to for help when I first made it to the surface.

There's all sorts of people who participate with the League. If I stay near them, then I'll learn something about the moonstone.

Ahhhhh so yer doin' a bit a spy work, huh? Sheheheh!

Did y' have any friends? What were they like?

I got along pretty well with Fizz. He's from the ocean and kind of like me, so it was easy to be friends with him.

He actually has legs, though, and a trident.
