[Audio] ALL THE DRAMATICS! A cry for anarchy! This is war!
Pirates of the world, RISE UP I say!
This world claims we do not belong here! The people of this world say we have no home, no place on these seas, in this world! I disagree! [Oh lord, Marco's going full steam here.] My world had no use for monsters like us either! My world made it a sin and a crime for some of us to even be born. Well, to hell with that, say I! ARE WE PIRATES OR ARE WE COWARDS?!
I FOR ONE, BEAR THE FLAG OF MY FATHER AND BROTHERS! LET US TAKE OVER THESE SEAS, AND CLAIM OUR PLACE IN A WORLD ONCE AND FOR ALL! LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE WILL NOT BE DENIED OR IGNORED!
Let us show the world that this era is OURS!
[AND WITH THAT: he lets out a huge phoenix cry of victory.] SCRAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
[We now return you to your daily journal entries of everything else completely different.]

I don't.
I can choose better now, and I am. Why should I let him take Roxas back to dust?
I went over to find out what idiotic thing Thatch was doing. I was going to kick Thatch's ass, and then like always I found out Thatch is just protecting me again. Lea thinks we shouldn't this disrupt this world at all. Like fuck I'll abide by that. It's not our world? Says who? My world isn't my world any more than this place is. Are only those born on a plane deserving of the right to live it?! If so, then what about those who die there? HA!
[Action]
You know, what bothers me the most of that isn't that Lea wants to bring Roxas back to dust. I don't like that, of course, and I don't think we should let him do so, but Roxas... He's probably going to follow that guy to his own death no matter what we do or say, because Lea was one of the first people who talked to him or something stupid like that. It doesn't matter what Lea says or does, even if it annoys the kid, he's going to still run back to trail after him. And as much as it annoys me... I'm not nice enough to bring myself to give a fuck when someone walks to their own demise so happily and for such a stupid reason.
[In fact, it only makes part of him want to just go and burn them down directly since they want it so much.]
What bothers me is the bullshit about disrupting this world. It's not the first time I hear that and apparently no one realizes how stupid it is. And I don't mean in the "who says this isn't our world" sense. I mean it in the sense that just by being here we're already disrupting this world. Just by breathing we're causing an alteration. And most definitively, if the way out of here are those shards, collecting them disrupts this world in the worst way possible. It may even destroy it once a wish is made.
But that disruption doesn't count because it's the one they want to return to their worlds. Yet they dare to act as if they were saints and nice people better than you because they "care" about this world and don't want to trouble it. If they didn't want to trouble it, they would be killing themselves continuously until Davy Jones or whatever sent them back because they were useless.
[Action]
Aye.
[Runs a hand through his hair.] Roxas is a Spade, all the way. I wanted to get Lea to stay and now I don't even care, because I can't handle the idea of having someone in the crew who doesn't want to fight to let Roxas and Thatch live on.
[Action]
If Lea leaves, Roxas will probably go with him, Spade or not.
[He can't even imagine a different scenario unless Lea was to vanish from this world.]
Anyway, you know that Lea's probably not the only one who thinks that way, right? Even in the crew... And I'm not sure if your little message will work to expose them or to make them leave.
[Action]
Aye, maybe not. But it'll make it clear to them where those of us most loyal and firm in that loyalty stand. I'll not stop anyone from leaving, and Ace himself is willing to thin out anyone who can't tolerate our view, but this is a start.
[Action]
[He looks at Marco slightly surprised by the next part.]
He is? I wasn't sure he would be willing to. Though between this and what happened at the ball, I can see how it's a start.
[Action]
Aye. [A nod.] Before the ball I told him of our desire to get revenge, eh. He said we should present it to the whole crew to start thinning out anyone who didn't want to stay knowing what we're all about.
[Action]
[Or those who think that revenge should be "an eye for an eye" style, Ikki's style has him ripping off the whole face of the one who damaged his eye. Or even tried to damage it.]
What can I do to help?
[In thinning out those or whatever else there is that he can help with. Just don't ask him to help to try to keep Ace dressed because Ikki has zero problems with his captain pacing around like that.]
[Action]
[Messes up Ikki's hair.] I'm pretty sure you're already doing your part. But Natsuno did raise a good point with me the other day.
[He's just not sure which parts of it he likes, agrees with, or intends to toss entirely yet.]
Our survival is a bigger thorn in the side of the navy than murdering them endlessly. Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about training troops. I can weed out the rubbish, but polishing rough diamonds is beyond my skill.
Has he spoken to you about his jinrou skills yet?
[Action]
Ikki looks down and away for a moment when Marco messes his hair, because the other doing that seems to be a switch to make his frowning and constantly angry expression melt instantly.]
He did and I've been doing what I can to help him practice whenever he calls me. Though I think that whatever progress he makes in training isn't going to mean much unless he gets used to eating daily at the very least. I told him my blood regenerates much faster than normal, but that's all I can do about it unless I dedicate myself to tying him down to feed him by force.
I don't know about training troops either. I know the training I went through, and the style of training done in the Sanctuary by the soldiers... But I'm not sure a training that has a high percentage of deaths is a good idea.
[On the other hand, there weren't many in the crew that had absolutely no power or experience in fighting beforehand. Some were full civilians, sure, but most of them weren't and the numbers of deaths in the trainings Ikki was used to were due all the trainees being kids, maybe it would be different with adults.]
[Action] 1/3
[Action] 2/3
[He waves a hand back and forth and leans his chin into a hand in thought.]
[Action] 3/3
Take over the world to make it safe for the crew, and anyone we want to be able to survive in it.
[Action]
It's not that different from back home. I serve someone whom many consider questionable or wrong, fight against what the biggest power considers "justice" and kill all their soldiers and big shots, pretty much "taking over the world" to hand it to the person I serve. The only difference is that the person I serve here is actually someone I care for and respect and that even the enemy dies more easily.
[It's almost ironic. Ikki leans back and looks up to the sky, though. He agrees with Marco, it's the best solution. Natsuno has a point but even so, killing the enemy is the fastest way to go, and he should know it well given his war with the shiki. Though he supposes that the difference is that Natsuno considers shiki monsters no matter what, while the Navy soldiers are humans.]
I wish Shiryu was here. I don't know how his training exactly went, but his teacher was very wise, he lived for a long time and had seen enough for it. So probably he would be able to think of a way to train everyone even if we still go the "kill everything" route.
Maybe the old man coming here directly would be easier, though. He would get to live some more and all, even if he probably is satisfied with how long he did so.
[Action]
But even if the navy dies permanently, we don't know how big this world is yet, or how many more and worse troops they can fill the holes with.
I want everyone to live just to spite those fuckers, yoi. All the people preaching about the natural order of things. I want to fuck everything up until this world is completely unrecognizable and everyone in this crew's dreams are made reality. Whatever they are, no matter how insane or ambitious, eh.
The Dark King Rayleigh from my world might interest you. He's not wise, but he knows how to handle Ds better than anyone else. And he knows about training too. I suppose in a way, he's partly responsible for my sudden surge of ambition. I can't lose face in front of an old rival and friend, eh?
[Action]
Just like with Gods in my world, kill one and his soldiers and another one comes to fill the gap with an even bigger army. Eventually, all of them will be dead either way so it's not "endless".
[Of course he's ignoring the possibility that by the time it's all over the only ones alive are themselves, but that would only happen if the whole world got stupid enough to mess with them.]
He knows about training... Is he willing to share that?
I don't really care about why you suddenly want to step on the accelerator, I've more than enough drive myself to adjust to any speed you or Ace want to set. Hell, going faster would be new for me, I'm too used to having to step back and hold on. But I can understand why you wouldn't want to loose face to someone.
[Action]
Tell him you're my phoenix brother, and see what happens.
But I'll warn you now, he's a tricky bastard. None of the rest of my siblings can handle him at all. Thatch is having kittens about him even being here, Haruta refuses to say his name, and Ace would probably punch him on sight.
He's still a friend of mine though. It's like how I don't like Shanks, but the others don't mind him so much. Hell, Shanks pretty much adores Ace, eh?
[Action]
[Because Ikki just has no way with people, period. Then again, he doesn't need to be liked or anything much to be taught a few things.]
What's exactly the story? Or is it a secret?
[Action]
Eh? No story really. More like a series of annoying events.
[Action]
I meant that I can't promise that he will be able to tolerate me. I don't tie people, too many bad ideas and memories.
"A series of annoying events" still sounds like a story to me. Could make for a nice book title even.
[Action]
Che.... Shanks is a punk. Ask one of the others. [Waves a hand.] Hell, ask Ray-san, even. He was first mate over Shanks during the idiot's younger years. Ray used to have to smack him and this clown kids' heads together for their stupid nonstop arguments, yoi.
[Action]
[Seriously, even with Marco at times Ikki actually doubts he's being serious or honest. Kido and the rest did an awesome job on getting Ikki to distrust everyone around him.]
Hn, okay.
[And by that he means that he will likely never ask about this Shanks again, to Marco or anyone else. His interest in the guy is due Marco, if Marco doesn't want to talk about it, Ikki's interest in Shanks simply disappears.]
[Action]
[That 'hn' tips Marco off that Ikki sees it as a brother thing. Normally he wouldn't tell ANYONE, even a brother, but it's one of the things that all his brothers know so it's not fair that Ikki doesn't. And he wants Ikki to feel on the same level always.]
Shanks is always asking me to join his crew, just to be annoying, eh. And he's very big on diplomacy and avoiding fights wherever possible, which makes all the fights he sparks with being god damn annoying that much worse, eh?
He's not a bad guy per se, and hell, he'll do anything for a friend. He got Ace and Pops' bodies back from the marines and then helped me bury them and everything, eh? And he kept Kaidou off our backs so we could escape the marines.
But he's still damned annoying. And I can't help remembering when he was twelve whenever I see him. And yet he runs around acting like such a bigshot. All my loathing of redheads, Grell notwithstanding, is because of him. And even Grell makes me nervous when she reminds me of him.
Vista and Yassopp, Shanks' sniper, have bad blood between them too. But he saved Ace's little brother's life a long time ago and gave him that straw hat he's so famous for. Ace left one hell of an impression on him too. When we sent Ace chasing Blackbeard, Shanks risked a war with us and the marines just to ask us to draw him back. Which is part of why I don't like him. Unmitigated arrogance, yoi. He thought Ace was too young to handle Blackbeard. Mah, well Shanks himself is famous for these three scars over his eye, given to him by Blackbeard back when we were kids.
But at least he stuck around to help out when we all heard that Teach had turned Ace over to the marines for the trap, eh.
[Action]
You're right, he sounds annoying. A good guy, but annoying.
[Diplomacy and avoiding fights aren't things Ikki digs, to be honest.]
Don't answer if you don't want to, but is part of the annoyance you have with him the idea that he was "right" when he wanted you to call Ace back?
[Action]
[Marco shakes his head sadly.]
We couldn't call Ace back. We could only trust and hope Ace could do it where we couldn't.
Shanks couldn't have known that, but he didn't stop to ask either. He's still acting like a rookie even though he's a pirate emperor now.]
