[Audio] ALL THE DRAMATICS! A cry for anarchy! This is war!

Pirates of the world, RISE UP I say!

This world claims we do not belong here! The people of this world say we have no home, no place on these seas, in this world! I disagree! [Oh lord, Marco's going full steam here.] My world had no use for monsters like us either! My world made it a sin and a crime for some of us to even be born. Well, to hell with that, say I! ARE WE PIRATES OR ARE WE COWARDS?!

I FOR ONE, BEAR THE FLAG OF MY FATHER AND BROTHERS! LET US TAKE OVER THESE SEAS, AND CLAIM OUR PLACE IN A WORLD ONCE AND FOR ALL! LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE WILL NOT BE DENIED OR IGNORED!

Let us show the world that this era is OURS!

[AND WITH THAT: he lets out a huge phoenix cry of victory.] SCRAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

[We now return you to your daily journal entries of everything else completely different.]

It is... difficult to translate properly, which is why I think in spite of the magic here that allows us all to understand one another regardless of what language we might speak, it came out in my native tongue.

But as for the meaning, well... it was similar to your own.

He was... One of my few regrets is that I never had the chance to hear him recite.

-Heavy topic, but... Given Mother's Day, she can't seem to get her mind off of it.-

He was only three years old before I died.

It's alright... Recently, I've come to something of a realization. The tragedy that is my past, while it will never go away and will never lessen, should not define how I exist in the here and now. My son grew up and became a beloved poet... -Under a pen name, but eh, who's keeping score here?- I can be proud of that, even if I didn't get to watch him become a man. I'm not going to waste time mourning what could have been.

His poetry, or at least the waka he wrote, were collected into many books throughout the ages. I found some at a curio store on the outskirts of the human village in Gensokyo.
