[He seems so untouchable right now. Part of her wants to answer in kind, to make suggestive comments and spew useless flattery. Another wants to trip him up, see if she can change his course. The former may lead to giving impressions she's not yet ready to give. The latter means jerking him around by his emotions. Robin doesn't want to do either.]

I'm flattered, really.

[Ah yes, such wit, such decisiveness. It's a wonder he finds her at all interesting.]

Good. [A small laugh.] I feel like I've been trying and failing at that for months. It's good to know I'm finally making some headway.

Flattery aside, how are you Robin? It's good to hear your voice again, though I hope that doesn't sound too forward.

Aye, I can't for the life of me figure out why we're going so slowly. I go to check it in flying and as far as I can tell it's fine. I guess the distance was greater than the islanders told us.

Mah, it doesn't really matter though, between ocean or island, I'll take the sea.
