☠Twenty-First Reel: Secret Keepers [Written]
[Red, cursive script appears on the journals.]
Dear Captains of Various Crews of Those Spirited Away by Davy Jones,
Would you ever keep a secret from your crew? Why or why not?
Personally, I'm not sure what secret would be deemed worth keeping away from my crew, but I'd think I'd be able to confide in at least my first mate. It could depend on the secret, itself. Is it one that will spare them my tragic end from an incurable illness? Then perhaps I'd keep it for a bit, until I knew that it was truly incurable.
Really, being captain is a harder job than one may think. I took that role on knowing the difficulty, however.
Overall, I would not keep secrets that directly influence my crew or their interests if I could help it, whether or not the secret would affect those secrets positively or negatively. If I can't trust my crew, then I might as well end their lives right now, since their presence would be unnecessary.
[The next part is added a moment later.]
As if they would go down easily, or at all!
Best Regards,
Captain Grell the Red
P.S.
If there are those who held positions of leadership in your world who also wish to reply and aren't captains, it would be appreciated.

[action]
[He's probably spending too much time imagining that. It would've been fun though.]
Yeah, and... it's super awkward. After I spent so much time with them it's like I was a part of their crew for awhile.
[action]
[She had wondered about their status for some time.]
I wouldn't mind being you...um...what is that word for some sweet treat on your arm... [Really, she should just study all the notes Dirk wrote for her. In the meantime, she simply waves a hand dismissively.] I would have loved to have gone with you.
Do you think you would have stayed with them after everything that has happened?
[action]
[He's brought people to premiers with him before, though most of those relationships didn't last very long. He never attended with the same girl twice. There's a reason he's 35 and still single.]
You would've made the best arm candy though. None of the others could even compare.
[Dave shakes his head slightly at the last question.]
Nah, I made my decision. I could've stayed back when Dirk disappeared, but Codi seemed like she wanted to take over and I didn't want to get in the way.
[action]
[Grell nods once at his statement.] Perhaps by not being noble, all of this could have been prevented. [Probably not Codi mouthing off, but everything else could be handled.]
Does that mean you have someone lined up behind me? [Grell smiles, trying to be as casual as possible without seeming too possessive of him. From what he's said, settling down doesn't seem his forte.] I may have to eliminate my competition, you know.
[...nailed it.]
[action]
Maybe she's jealous? Doesn't seem like she's been as successful as you.
[That isn't casual at all. Grell is threatening to kill people. Any sane person would be scared, but Dave feels flattered. It's cute that she wants him so much.]
No, I don't. I'm sure there are plenty of girls who'd like to, but they're just gonna have to wait because you're the only one I want.
[action]
She hues at Dave's words, not expecting them to be said like that.]
I...I am? [She had planned something elegant in response, but she's too flustered to think properly at the moment.]
[action]
[Dave would never cheat on anyone, but he always had a wandering eye. It's weird that he doesn't now. When he's with Grell he can't think of anyone else. When he's with other people he only thinks of her. He doesn't know what to make of it.
Words don't seem adequate, so he pulls Grell close and kisses her.]
[action]/quietly steals that icon :O
Now she knows.
She returns Dave's kiss, smiling softly as she does so.]
[action]
He tilts his head, opens his mouth, and licks along her lips, beckoning her tongue to come out and play. Dave doesn't think he's any good at relationships, but Grell is special to him. He wants her to know that.]
