[Hey, guess who found some painted eggs (and more importantly, the dubloons inside them)? Yeah, that's right, this girl.]

Hey everyone! This is Anise Tatlin, from the Friend Ship! ♥ This is pretty important, so pay attention! If you've found any painted eggs floating around, I'd really appreciate it if you can give them to me! Whatever you do, don't open them, okay?

ACTION; on-board the Friend Ship and around the Legends of the Hidden Island

[To nobody's surprise whatsoever, Anise is working herself into a tizzy trying to locate as many of the painted eggs as possible. This means ransacking the ship, searching under every rock and leaf on the island, and even wading out into the sea.]

[Feel free to run across her during her search or witness her annoyed grumbling whenever she opens an egg only to find it doesn't contain precious, precious money!]

[Encouraged by having kept her interest, Anise continues on with greater confidence.]

They're cursed! I think the sea witch did it, but I can't be sure.

[She gives a lightly laugh.]

Pretty sure that the sea witch is dead. Someone took care of them.

[Oh no! She's losing her audience!]

That's what makes it so dangerous. She set the curse before she died because she knew we'd let our guard down!

Then why would it take this long to notice them?

[Lenalee is catching on, but she'll play along in a bit.]

That's exactly the point! See? You aren't suspecting anything at all!

[Now it's time to play along.]

I thought it was something quite simple, but you know. Maybe you are right. Maybe they really are eggs that while they look nice and cute now will turn into something we don't suspect.

[Is it really working or is the girl on the journal just playing along? Oh well! Anise will be optimistic.]

I know they are. And I can break curses, so if you just give them to me...

Break curses? I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a curse exactly.

[Anise blinks. Hey, she's supposed to be the authority on this!]

Huh? How come?

[She pauses slightly for a moment.]

Because curses seem to only effect us and not objects. At least from here I've figured. [Being possessed and all didn't help this thought.]

[What?! Really? Anise is still pretty new to the world, so that's the first she's heard of it. Still, it's a pretty interesting to know.]

[But it's too late to hide the fact that she had gasped in shock. She scrambles to recover, hoping she hadn't lost her audience.]

Well, yeah, but this is a special kind of curse!

Hmm, really?

Questions though why has no one else mentioned it being a curse until now? Unless the things they find have done something to them? Is that it?

That's right! Wow, you're really good at this.

I guess I have some experience or something.
