Hello, everyone! I'm Aida Mana, and I wanted to introduce myself to all the people on Lady Maribelle's crew... you may have seen me talking on the journals before, but my friend Rikka finally made our decision, and we're joining you guys!
We're going to do our best to help out, and if you ever need anyone to help you out with something around the ship, just call on me, alright?
That said... my family owns a restaurant. I'm no master chef, but I definitely know my way around a kitchen. I imagine someone else is already working there, but there's no reason why we should have only one cook in the galley, right? I'd love to help out in any way I can, there!
Hope to hear from all of you!
[locked to Celestia Ludenberg]
Um, Celes-chan, I'm sorry that Rikka and I decided to go with someone else's crew... I hope that you and I can still be friends in the end, because I really do like and admire you. I wish yourc crew the best of luck out on the seas, and for you and in accomplishing your dream as well!
That said... I made sure to have some gyouza I prepared sent to you before Rikka and I set out... I hope you like it...
[Mana's gyouza isn't particularly amazing, but it is made competently, and it was done with a lot of effort and emotional investment]

It'll be nice to meet you Aida! My name is Lucy. I don't think Maribelle will have any problem with having more than one cook - we might even rotate, just so everyone knows how to manage things in case someone is ill or incapacitated.

Good evening, Mana-chan! I'm not on your crew, but I'm a cook on one of the other ships! Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Sanji~
What kind of restaurant does your family have?
[written]
It's a family restaurant! We specialize in all kinds of food, not just Japanese cuisine! Its name is The Pig's Tail! My grandfather passed it on to my dad, his son-in-law! Papa is always trying to surpass him, though...!
[written]
The Pig's Tail, nice name! I grew up at a restaurant called the Baratie. But it was a seafaring restaurant, so seafood was our specialty. Though we had all sorts of shit on the menu.

Ha ha, it may sound silly, but what I really want to do is become Prime Minister someday...
[written]
Ah, that sounds important. Not silly at all!
[written]
... but that sounds like a great idea!
[written]
Great! I'll put together some of my favorites and write 'em out for you, Mana-chan!

Captaining a ship and the student council are two pretty different things, but I can kinda see the comparison.

I'm Smoker.
Also on Maribelle's crew I suppose. ["On the crew" because Smoker is a marine forever and ever.]
[Voice]
Ha ha, I guess you were right, though. Thank you, Smoker-san.
[Voice] wow sorry for the late on this, my inbox and I fail
Hn. I'm glad you're all right. No ocean is safe to travel alone.

Now I was not aware of the fact that your family worked in the restaurant business, but now I must say you have certainly raised my hopes up just a bit more. I consider myself to be a bit of a gourmet when it comes to fine cuisine, so naturally any break I get from the standard in military rations is a welcome break. I'll tell you now, that even as a noblewoman, I was forced to eat some reprehensible things during the war.
Now I know you say you're no master chef, but could you perhaps expand upon what you are capable of?
[Voice]
Ha ha, I don't think my food can satisfy a gourmet... I'm nowhere near my papa and grandpa's level. But I'll do my best to do whatever I can! Good food brings people together!
But anyway... our restaurant specialized in western cuisine. However, we also had traditional Japanese food. I know how to make a lot, but my personal specialty is omurice!
[Voice]
Don't sell yourself too short darling, I haven't tasted your food yet and you may surprise yourself. Just the fact that you have faith in good food bringing people together shows that you have the instincts of a restaurateur. You'll have to forgive me if I'm unfamiliar with the differences between western cuisine and other kinds. To my knowledge Japan is a nation rather similar to my world's Chron'sin, and their cuisine often consists of fish and rice.
Might I ask what Omurice is? I assume it's a form of rice dish?

...plus the gyoza was probably the best damn thing she had ever since she got to this world. Not as good as back home, but...it did its job.]
I've received the gyoza. It was quite alright, you have my thanks.
...as for choosing someone else's crew, that's quite alright as well. I do hope you don't come to regret your choice, however.
[It was stated matter of factly, so naturally it was difficult to tell if Celes was truly hoping that the crew works out for Aida, or if she was subtly warning her that they could very easily be enemies later on. One can never be too sure with her.]
[Voice; Private]
And thank you for understanding... I don't think I'll regret my decision, but all the same, if you're ever in trouble and you need outside assistance, don't hesitate to call, okay?
You're my friend... and friends always help one another!
[Voice; Private]
And, should you ever change your mind about your current crew, I'll be sure to save a spot for you and your friend.
