Out of curiosity, has anybody figured out a...I don't know, an antidote or something to protect people from losing their damn minds every other month? By now I've seen enough bizarre behavior, it'd be nice to find some kind of immunity to that.

...not that we can predict when it happens.

Which reminds me. Ace, you ever send Luffy something like that again and I'll come over there next. You don't want me to come over there.

Getting him wet slows him down, at least. As long as it's not me fishing him out this time, most of my clothes are still damp from the last three times.

You guys got a lot of Devil Fruit-users on the crew, though, don't you?

But also a mermaid, Namur, and a few others who don't mind the water.

And Chandra can swim even though she's made of fire. I haven't figured out how that works yet.

I have to admit, most rookie crews seem to be all talk and no action these days, but I think I'm starting to see what Shanks did.

I don't know what it'll be like when you reach there, but it can only get worse.

[Blackbeard having Whitebeard's devil fruit was reckless in and of itself. Where Whitebeard had always been cautious, slow and deliberate with each earthquake or tsunami, Blackbeard wasn't going to be so kind about it. How many islands would get trashed just on accident?]

I heard you saw what Blackbeard did to Drum Island, aye?

Mhm. It turned out all right for them in the end, though. It's weird, thinking back that far, remembering brushing up against him on Jaya...and to know now where he went from there.

Anyway, he'll be a lot more brutal in the New World. Because he knows it better.
