Out of curiosity, has anybody figured out a...I don't know, an antidote or something to protect people from losing their damn minds every other month? By now I've seen enough bizarre behavior, it'd be nice to find some kind of immunity to that.

...not that we can predict when it happens.

Which reminds me. Ace, you ever send Luffy something like that again and I'll come over there next. You don't want me to come over there.

There's another way to return to our worlds that doesn't require the gem. If we can figure out what it is, the shards won't be necessary.

No control on the part of the one who leaves, but there seems to be intent behind it. It seems to be an ability of Davy Jones, but it's unlikely to be an ability only one person has. Even if no one else knows how it's done, it should be possible for someone else to learn.

I find that odd, too. For someone who has made such an impact, there seems to be very little information about him available to us. Even Scurvey Dog manufactures ways to get out of answering our questions.
