[everyone is safe where they should be and they are on their way to Candy Mountain. Luffy is content and when a strange package from Ace via the Margie woman arrived, he was alone on deck and opened it to see what it was. It looked to be weird bottles with tiny writing that said Dr. Dan's Fizzy SugarJolt and other words that were too small to read but it didn't matter so he drank one

and then fifteen more.

And now he is sitting on his special seat on the Million Merrily, seemingly still but anyone with a keen sense can see his vibrating softly. Anyone with haki can tell that contained with in him is the combined efforts of sixteen energy drinks swirling in the pit of his stomach and ready to be unleashed upon the world--

Over the journal, though, his voice is calm, almost preternaturally so. The kind of stillness you get before the storm]

(So much laughter at both Luffy and Naesala.) I don't know, Captain maybe a little dumb at times but I wouldn't call him that, Luffy.... Shouldn't you let your crew know of you abstense since you are their captain?

(She blinks now as she sees what is going and briefly gains a concern look on her face before whistling again.) Well... I am sure that Ace won't hold anything against you as long as you don't hurt him too badly. Especially if the little puppy decides to go through with that intent.

[And more snickering at Naesala before her eyes widen at the pounce. But then a small sigh of relief as Naesala dodges the pounce and she couldn't help but to give him a small round of applause for that.]

[falls into the netting and tumbles down a bit before he can loop a leg around a rope and catch himself, and then he bobs up and down a bit like a rubber yo yo before grinning]

dummy That was great! Let's do it again. Let's play tag! [he glances at Leanne] You too, na! Let's go!

[First, he does a mock bow for Leanne's applause.

Secondly, this was nOT EXPECTED what is this abomination. He has half a mind to ask - seriously, what, is he a rubber demon or something?? WHAT ARE YOU - but Naesala figures he probably wouldn't understand the answer even if the boy could properly follow a conversation. Learn some manners.

But it is pretty entertaining watching Dumb fling himself all over the place. Not that Naesala can resist showing off, himself.] You're going to keep your freakish tongue in check?

[She giggles at the mock bow and continues to give Naesala all the applause he desires.

No Luffy! You are not suppose to lick him! [Oh goddess! Ohhhhhh goddess! How can she help Naesala. There has to be a way! Quick! Think of a good distraction! Ummmmm...

He is wearing such a strange hat.....

Leanne shifts into her laguz form in order to fly ever so carefully towards Luffy, reaching out with a talon to try and see if she can gently grab Luffy's hat off of his head. If she was able to do so, you better believe that she will bolt towards the skies.]

[darnit, he missed! He crashes against the mast and wraps an arm around it and is going to try again but]

[he reaches for it but Leanne's too quick. He wants to take it from her but he doesn't want to hurt her but she took the hat. She can't take the hat!]

[he sounds anxious about it though not angry] I'm keeping that for someone!

[Fluffing out his wings mid-air and making sure there's no rogue saliva on his feathers. Thank goodness there isn't. He still might have an emergency preening session later, regardless.]

Thank you kindly, Leanne. [his hero] I'd say keep it for leverage to modify his behavior, but it might cause him to further lose his mind.

[Her call, though. He's still miffed.]

[She goes to fly towards Naesala, moving a talon to put the hat on so that no damage will come to it.]

You are welcome. He is still trying despite the pecking and my lecture. [She frowns though at the tone that Luffy has concerning the hat.]

[She flies towards Luffy, still wearing the hat.] This hat is important you, aye? Just imagine our wings to be like this hat. I am sure that we wouldn't mind you helping us to preen our wings but...

Would you like it if we licked your hat? [Flies close enough for Luffy to take his hat back if he wanted to.]

Oh okay... [he takes the hat and puts it back on his head. Sobered up a little cuz the hat.] I'm sorry.

[and he's serious. Cuz you shouldn't lick someone's treasure unless they ask. He clings to the mast and peers at them] Are all bird people like that?

(Leanne blinks as she studies Luffy, moving to perch on him and reading him. Interesting....

Well, he speaks true about him holding onto for someone and what he is talking about is treasure. (Don't care that Luffy can hear her.) For this one. (Points to Luffy with a talon.) The hat is one of his greatest treasure.
