Hi, everyone.
*At least she doesn't sound so grumpy today, though her voice is somewhat more timid than usual*

 

I think I upset a lot of people yesterday. I was mean to people who really, really didn't deserve it. So...I wanted to say that I'm really sorry.

But - if everyone was doing opposite stuff yesterday, then, I guess, at least that shows that usually I'm a nice, happy, friendly person, right?

*There's an awkward laugh at her attempts to make light of her situation. She'd been pretty mean to people she hadn't even met, too*

 

That doesn't make it okay, though. So, again, I'm really sorry, and I hope that people still want to be friends.

*She's just going to leave it at that for now. As for those in her crew, they really shouldn't expect to see her face today, because she won't be showing it anywhere. Staying in her room seems a little safer, for now*

[Kairi put the card down and it looked as though it was a pair of aces as she placed her hand on the pile.]

Snap. It was a pair.

[She seemed happy enough for a t least a moment.]

I've been told by others that I died.

*Selphie smiles brightly when Kairi calls out the snap - and she kind of wishes that maybe she hadn't asked, so they could stay just being happy. Selphie nods slowly though, and puts another card down*

Yeah... You did.

[She puts the next card down, nope not a pair yet.]

But yet I'm alive. So I do somewhat question it a little, I can understand it just as well. I mean things are different to me and there must be a reason for it.

That's because people don't really die here. They die, disappear for a few days, then they seem to just come back again. I died once too, you know.

*Selphie puts down another card*

Hmmm, you did?

[Well that certainly wasn't something she expected. She puts down another card, as she wasn't as focused that time.]

I won't ask how it happened because that would be quite rude of me, so we'll just keep playing.

Uh huh.

*Selphie considers for a moment, then wonders if maybe it's better giving her more information once, if she does, get her memories back*

It wasn't really very nice, I guess that's all there is to say.

*Aka, being possessed and killed by the man on the ship who, at the time, she trusted more than anyone, who she loved*

[Soon a matching pair appeared and Kairi wasn't paying much attention to that fact.]

So...I guess people have been through a lot here, huh?

*Selphie smiles, gently placing a hand on the cards and scooping them towards her*

Yeah. There are rough times, but there are nice times too. We all look out for each other though.

[She gives a small nod for a moment.]

Right. Were all in the same boat literally, so looking out for each other is nice. I don't think I could be on another ship.

Exactly! And hey, no one's every gonna want you to be on another ship. Everyone much prefers it when you're right here with all of us.

[She laughs slightly as now she was once more focused on the cards again.]

That's good, but if we ever have to go to another ship. It's probably because everyone's gone home except one or two or something and that seems very unlikely.

Hmm... I'm not sure what that would be like. Seems like there's more people arriving all the time than leaving.

That's what I've noticed as well. We only get 1 or two leaving every couple of weeks or so, but not an awful lot.

Yeah, it's weird. It's like...there's a pattern to the people who arrive, but not to how people leave.

*Selphie shrugs, then grabs herself a pair and draws in her cards*

Unless maybe I'm just not clever enough to figure it out.

I noticed that. So it makes finding people who leave harder to pick out without someone informing us.

[It wasn't just you, even Kairi hasn't noticed a pattern and thinks the disappearances are random.]

Mmhmm. It's exactly like that.

But hey - that's why we have to look after each other and cheer each other up - in case we disappear one day and we're sad that we didn't all have the best fun that we could have together!
