Evening.

I suppose I am writing in this thing because I can't sleep. I haven't really figured out what to do about that. Any suggestions would be helpful.

[There's a pause, before he adds more.]

Is anyone else up at this hour? What are you doing with your time?

[Another pause, longer than the last.]

If anyone would like to talk right now, that would be fine.

I'm not sure the Navy bothers me as much as it perhaps should. It's something personal and probably very stupid, in the grand scheme of things. Even knowing that doesn't help very much.

Maybe talking about it will actually help. I won't tell a soul, you can really trust me on that.

It's not really a secret or anything. Riku broke up with me. I was caught off guard, among other things.

Yes, he did. It's a pretty stupid thing to keep me up at night, isn't it?

I don't find it stupid honestly. I mean breaking up can effect people like that, so I wouldn't think it's stupid.

[She pauses in her writing quietly for a moment. She didn't actually know that either. She is not a good friend, or the fact they've been so busy might of been a matter.]

Ah, I didn't know about that either. Maybe I should talk to him.

[He's reminded that Kairi is Riku's friend, and she would be concerned about him naturally. He sighs a little bit, but writes back.]

Perhaps you should.

But I'll do that later, for now I want to talk to you.

[Because while Riku is a friend, she wants to talk to other friends first.]

Thank you, but I don't want you to think that I...think badly of Riku. It's not like that at all. I wish I had seen it coming, that's all.

Those are the types of things one doesn't really see coming. After all we don't know what one can be thinking at all times.

I definitely didn't know what he was thinking. It's just that we talked about this before, and he gave me his word. I took it.

[He can be heard letting out a bit of an unhappy groan.]

I'm still sorry it happened. But I do hope talking about it has helped, even if it is a little bit.

[There's a pause and a sigh and some shuffling.]

I know you do and you know hearing you like this makes me a little sad.

[Mostly because this type of situation is not one she has ever had happen before, what does one do?]

I want to help, but I'm not sure how except talking. it is helping, right?

Maybe a little bit. I don't think it will fix anything though, I'm afraid.

I didn't think it would. It helps but not that much. Only time can heal it fully, be it a short time or long time, it's all it needs.

I suppose that's true. It isn't Riku's fault that my heart aches so much. Not entirely. Perhaps I've just been in a bad place for awhile. I think maybe I relied on him too much.
