Squeaky Clean! Voice, and action for Spades.

 Hi everyone! Anyone out there got a way to polish the ships? Don't get me wrong, our deck is so clean you could make out with it - I just wondered if anyone had any awesome hints of tips for polishing! 

*Since Selphie got back from her little trip to the Moon, she had done nothing but clean. What she said about making out with the deck is no lie, should anyone care to try. Even the crow's nest is shining, on both ships. But the girl shows no signs of stopping. She seems to be found anywhere and everywhere, scrubbing like her life depends upon it. If she sees someone, she might even offer to clean and tidy their room!*

[Natsuno is brooding in his room and has been for a few days now. He hasn't had a whole lot to say to anyone and he hasn't been doing his sword training either. Since that stupid holiday and the fiasco thereafter he's been desiring some precious alone time.

He's lying with his back to the door, thoughtlessly staring at the wall.]

*There's a bump, bump, bump at the door. Bump bump bump. After a while it'll probably become annoying. If he cares to look he'll find Selphie on her hands and knees scrubbing outside the door, a bucket of soapy water beside her*

[Yeah, that's pretty annoying Selphie. Natsuno is forced to get up after a few moments of his thoughts being interrupted to open the door.

He finds himself looking down at her. Oh, that's what she's up to.]

*Selphie suddenly stops when he opens the door, and manages a small smile up at him*

Hi Yuuki! How are you? Need your room cleaned?

[He continues staring at her.]

Not particularly. I don't make much of a mess.

Okay! If you're sure! But, if you need me to clean, any time, just let me know. Okay?

*And she'll resume scrubbing again, and she seems to be scrubbing pretty hard*

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to polish a sailing ship or where you would find enough wood polish.

Hmm...too much polish probably wouldn't look nice. And you're right, but maybe there's some kinda homemade recipe sorta trick that I could try... Do you polish your ship?

No, we don't polish ours. [It's not a piece of furniture] Where I came from ships were painted to project them from the elements.

Oh - paint! That's a good idea! What colour is your ship?

The Yamato was navy gray and red below where the waterline would be.

Don't bother with the polish--Namur and I handle that, 'cause we shouldn't be polishing everything at once.

Anyway, are you the one that's runnin' around on deck??

Whuut? But the ships could be so shiny!

And yeah? I guess. There's a lotta ground to cover!

'Cause, if you polish it all right away and don't let things get a bit rough, then you'll have people slippin' on the deck and breakin' their jaws and noses.

Can't have too many people doin' it too, or else you'll lose track of what's gotten done.

*Oh dear. It sounds as though she really hasn't thought of that. Then she gives a disappointed sigh*

Okay. Something else I can do instead?

[Ace had to think. He was leaving the fishing to Namur, the kitchen cleaning to Zeff and he was covering the kitchen repair, himself. Ace didn't want anybody else touching the boards he was fixing, because he considered it to be his own responsibility.]

Well, we're not catching the wind at the moment. Do you wanna help fix some of the rigging for when we get some?

*There isn't an answer, but Selphie might hear someone trying to play a harmonica version of this. At the very least Adol's got a good beat going.*

*Selphie pauses in her rushing around to listen to the song, then claps her hands in applause after*

I guess if you're busy cleaning, you don't have time to play your guitar. Is that something your captain's making you do?

[Well, that's strange. Selphie didn't seem the type to be addicted to cleaning, and when he first got on this ship it wasn't nearly as spotless as it has been lately. He brings a pen to the paper to ask her what's up, only to stop when he hears someone outside.]

[He puts the pen down and goes to the door, opening it and leaning against the frame as he watches the girl he met about a week ago. He raises an eyebrow.]

I think if you cleaned this place anymore we can use it to blind the enemy.

*Selphie had been scrubbing the wall beside his door, and was just about to start washing his door when he opens it, so she quickly has to move the brush out of the way*

Oops! Sorry! But blinding the enemy would be a good idea!

*She smiles, a little awkwardly, and tilts her head*

Hmm? I'm just cleaning! What's up with you?

[doctor_ozaki]

[He lurches his head back to avoid the brush.]

That's okay.

[Toshio can't help but smile a little at that.] we’d end up becoming the sun glass pirates to avoid blinding ourselves as well.

just Cleaning?

[He looks around and then back at her. This was over cleaning, and worry was still clear on his face.]

*Selphie gives a sheepish smile and drops her scrubbing brush into the bucket at her feet, making a small splash. But at least she won't be getting the brush in anyone's way*

Uh huh. Just cleaning. What else does it look like?

*She shrugs, because she's quite sure this can't look like someone desperately doing chores because they're heartbroken and don't know what to do with themselves...can it?*
