[The entry is surrounded by the sounds of the sea, gentle rolling waves and the like. Philip himself is seated at the back of the little (very little, really, it's a wonder it's sea-worthy) sailboat he and Shotaro have acquired, called The Long Goodbye, boots off and beside him as he trails his feet in the water.]
I have encountered the strangest thing. Neither Shotaro nor myself acquired candies before embarking on our journey, and yet there is a small bowl of chocolates here. I have tried many times to dispose of them, dubious of their safety, and yet they always return. I recall hearing of at least one other having come upon this, and that the candies will cause anyone that ingests them to have strange urges based on the words upon the wrapper.
I think perhaps that this notion only makes my inclination to try them stronger.
[He is quiet for a while.]
What, do most people think, would the response to a detective agency opening in the area be? My partner and I were detectives, in Fuuto, and I feel as though a sleuthing technique may prove quite useful to a collection of people prone to piracy. Of course there are certain limitations, but...
Just inquiring to gauge a response, for the moment. That is all.

((OOC: I just started watching Kamen Rider W a week ago and I am up to just finishing the movie and starting back in the episodes. Your canon is so badassssss!))

[[OOC; screech more Toku friends :D Be prepared, the last few episodes are really intense and kind of emotionally depressing gnjkdfbnjkvn]]

((OOC: I just finished with ep. 16 OH THAT EVIL GUY WAS SUCH A BASTARD! If Toku is all this sentai kind of shows, then the closest I ever got was about the first season or two of power rangers. If you mean ACTUAL non bastardized versions of these shows, then W is the first toku show I've ever seen.))

That is more or less what solving crimes is, except that we follow a sense of rubric.
[[OOC; SAME THOUGH. Jami-- our Shotaro, got me into W and OOO. I resisted the allure of the bugsuits for a long while and then was consumed whole with a nice chianti. I think I watched Power Rangers as a child, but W was my first full-fledged Tokusatsu show.]]

So by helping out and doing good, you solve crimes without realizing it? And I'm sorry, what is a rubric? There are a lot of people from different eras and places who have things that just don't exist where I'm from.

A rubric is a general procedure or protocol. We follow a set of rules because we aren't specifically employed by the law, but we still have to follow the laws and commonly assist in police work.
