More familiar names belonging to unfamiliar people, from worlds both extremely close and very far in nature from the one I know. I do not think it is something one could ever get completely used to.
Sometimes I wonder if-
[And at that point Mitsuhide trails off, leaving little dots of ink after his last words, because without really thinking about it he has pulled a certain sweet from the bowl that has appeared in the Koumyou's island camp. Distraction makes the magical urge to do so very hard to resist; it makes the urge to obey the heart-shaped sweet's message even harder to ignore.]
[So a few moments later, Mitsuhide adds, in a slightly less neat kind of script:]
Lord Motochika, I love you.
[...yeah, he's just going to leave it there. Whatever he was going to say beforehand has been unsurprisingly washed from his mind by sheer embarrassment.]

[A ninja Mitsuhide had to fight during Yamazaki; it was not something he was happy about, but nothing about that battle was. It was mud, blood and sorrow, in his memory.]
The Lord Hideyoshi of my world is unfortunately well known for often attempting to seduce women who are not his wife; despite her, ah... extreme displeasure at the fact and tendancy to express that displeasure in unrestrained ways.
[Put straight: Nene has beaten him up on more than one occasion.]

[Though the differences in their respective Hideyoshis... Just how many other things were different.]
It still surprises me how our worlds are similar with most people yet still so different when it comes to those individuals. [Though it does have him wondering now that Hideyoshi has been brought up.] If you don't mind, what kind of man was the Lord Hideyoshi of your world? Outside of his personal life, I mean.
[Because every Hideyoshi can't be a huge as hell gorillaman who was bent on conquering a nation he could hold in his hand and can also punch an ocean in half or punch the sky to make the clouds part, right?]

Hideyoshi is a man who seems constantly cheerful and somewhat eccentric, but behind that he has a sharp and cunning mind. This is what Lord Nobunaga spotted in him, and the reason why he went from sandal-bearer to prominent general within the Oda ranks.
He has won the loyalty of many devoted generals.
[Including, now, many former servants of the Oda.]
More directly, Hideyoshi is an unusually short man; some call him 'monkey' because of his appearance. As well as his love for pursuing women, he is known for a deep love of gold and other such riches. Even his armour reflects his affection for that particular metal.

Much like Lady Nene, I believe I would enjoy meeting the Lord Hideyoshi of your world, if only based off what you just told me. [Just don't let him meet Mitsunari, of course.] Though I must admit I find myself just a bit surprised when it comes to seeing just how different those in each of our home worlds are.
[Even if the fact that both Motochikas are far from being the same, and even Mitsuhide's nothing like the one Ieyasu himself knew. Then again, if they were all the same, it wouldn't be as interesting.]

I must admit to being curious about the Lord Tadakatsu of your world, Lord Ieyasu. Even from the little I have seen you mention before, it is clear there are large differences there too.
[It has caught his eye before and had him wondering....]
Well, aside from the peerless might all by the name of Honda Tadakatsu must have.
[Of course.]

And then the fanboy switch is flipped onWell, that's definitely someone he doesn't mind talking about!]Well, large is one way of putting it, that's for sure.
[Ah, but he should just probably get started on this.]
The one thing that's absolutely necessary to know about Tadakatsu is that he's not exactly completely human. If you remember what all I've mentioned of him, I've noted that he's a 'large, metal clad warrior' each time. I never added such a description as just an easy way for others to find him; he is very much just that.
[...he knows he can put this in a shorter description.]
In short, the Tadakatsu of my world is a large, mechanical warrior.
[And with that, he'll just stop there to give Mitsuhide a chance to properly react. Because everyone needs a chance to react to "mechanical warrior."]

Truly?
[He's not, however, as surprised as he would have been months ago. Iron Tager, the metal man who had been aboard the Koumyou for a month, had been an astonishing education in the possibilities technology might open up in the future. Associating that with a warrior of his own age, however...]
To imagine Honda Tadakatsu in that way is quite something; in my world he is mostly certainly a flesh-and-blood man. To be covered completely in metal, why, he must be almost unbeatable!

[And that's been a good long while too, now that he thinks about it. But with that bit of information out of the way, he can continue on from the beginning!]
For as long as I remember, Tadakatsu's been with me from before I took up my leadership position with the Tokugawa until now, making him the most loyal man I've ever known. Even when others wished to use me as a way to employ him, he still stayed by my side. [Somehow, "wished to use me" sounded better than coming right out with "I was kidnapped over and over because people wanted Tadakatsu."] I honestly couldn't have asked for a better warrior or a better friend.
It's not often I get asked about Tadakatsu, so I'm not really all that sure of what to say. Unless there's something specific you wish to know more about?

[He thinks for a moment before recalling something interesting he can give Ieyasu.]
What would you think if I told you the Tadakatsu of our world is a parent? His young daughter, Ina, has a reputation for idolising and wishing to emulate her father.
