[Honestly, he knows it's a bit of a long shot, especially given that:
1) The one he's about to inquire about can't really survive in the water given the robotic/mech state he's in.
and
2) Tadakatsu would sink a ship the second he got on board. He even told Motochika the same thing some years ago.
However, given that it's that time of new arrivals and all, Ieyasu's going to try. Plus, as much as he's enjoying the sailing around, he does kind of miss having that glorified jet pack around.]
To those currently docked at Isla Empieza, both current crews and new arrivals:
Should you come across a large, metal clad warrior, I ask that you fill me in on his current location as soon as possible. [There's a pause as he takes to thinking a bit.] I would advise against attempting to speak to him, though should one wish to do so, I ask that you mention the name "Ieyasu Tokugawa" before engaging in any further conversation. My name alone should be enough for Tadakatsu to give you his full attention.
[Of course, attempting to understand Tadakatsu is a whole other story. And that happens to be one that Ieyasu's not going to get into right now.]
Any who are able to supply me with this information, or any information at all that may lead to finding Tadakatsu, will have my complete gratitude in doing so.

[Persistence and honesty are all well and good, but it's also what will cause him to die. Well, that and his opponent hired the Saika.]
As we set to march on Sekigahara, I received a report saying that the remnants of the Oda were gathering at Kanegasaki. That was all I knew when I went there instead, and you should keep it in mind as I tell you my tale. When I got there, I found the Demon Queen and the monk that had been acting as Hideaki's adviser. He killed her, saying that her blood would be able to bring Nobunaga Oda back to life. Though I killed him, I was unable prevent Nobunaga's resurrection. He fled to HonnÅ-ji, where I sent him back to his eternal slumber. I had only just done so when I was brought here.
[Now, for the moment of truth.]
Should you wish to break our contract and spread tales of the Saika abandoning you when you needed it the most... I would not blame you.
[Voice]
Though it's the final bit she said that causes him to speak up again. Because, honestly, what?]
Break our contract and spread such tales? Do you really think me to do such a thing, Magoichi?
[Really, he can't blame her for wanting to check out a report she received. And from how it sounded, it would have been worse if she hadn't split off to do so. So in his eyes, perfectly fine.]
[Voice]
It is what I would do. I pledged to give you every one of our lives until you achieved you goals, and I broke that promise in order to exact a very personal revenge that there was no guarantee I would have gotten. You may be alive and well right now, but if you were to have lost your life simply because I was not there, neither I nor the rest of the Saika would ever be able to forgive me. There is no use for a mercenary that cannot keep their word. Such men are little more than murderous thugs.
[So you see, it's not a matter of Ieyasu's morality. It's one purely of Saika pride, and such a thing is far more powerful to her.]
[Voice]
If you truly believe the contract should be broken over such, then I would not be against following your wishes.
[And then a pause.]
However, if you would like instead, the contract could stay the way it is, allowing you to make up for such actions. Of course, this is only if you wish to do so.
[Either way, he'll follow whatever choice she ends up choosing. And no matter what, he'll completely understand.]
[Voice]
[The more rational side of her knew that he would allow her that and that listening to her instincts allowed her to prevent catastrophe. But she is not one to ignore the consequences of actions, and it needs to be his choice if she is to make up for it.]
I shall continue to follow you. It is not the Saika way to let such actions reflect on us if we have the opportunity to amend them.
[Voice]
[He gives a bit of a laugh at it though, just how many times has he been told something similar?]
Good to hear! [With that aside...] By the way, have you made contact with Motochika yet?
[Voice]
No, I haven't. He's here? [Then she remembers that he's part of the Western Army and curbs whatever emotions were there appropriately.] More importantly, do you believe we will need to fight him?
[Voice]
That he is. I'm sure he'd enjoy hearing you're here as well. [Though her question causes him to fall silent for a short moment.] I've yet to see any reason to in the few months I've been on his crew. It's as though the fact we were on opposite sides were never a problem, much like the older days.
[You know, all the days after the "he kidnapped me once" part.]
[Voice]
I see... [If that's the case, though, why did he join the West in the first place? There's something strange going on here...] In any case, I'll go speak with him. It seems we have much to catch up on.
[To be fair, everyone kidnapped him back then. Hideyoshi, Xavi, Yoshimoto... Motochika was just in on the trend.]
