001. voice
Why, exactly, should I waste my time running around in search of an imaginary, wish-granting gem?
[The disgruntled voice you're hearing belongs to Mitsunari Ishida. As haranguing townsfolk has ultimately gotten him nowhere, he's finally taken a look at the apparently magic journal he woke up with. The accompanying note from "Scurvey Dog" has cleared up a couple of things, but the answers aren't quite what he wanted to hear.]
I detest pirates, I detest this absurd place, and all I "wish" for is to know one thing: where I will find the man known as Ieyasu Tokugawa.
For the sake of Lord Hideyoshi, inform me of his whereabouts at once!
[Clearly someone isn't in the mood for smalltalk. There's no "thank you for your time" after this message or anything. That's that.]

[Voice]
[Not that he ever listens. Well, maybe occasionally. When it suits him.]
[Voice]
[She sighs. As if he would this time, either. She pauses for a moment to gather her surroundings and notes that there's a reason it started smelling even more of sea salt. The distinct lack of devastation means she made it there before Mitsunari.]
I've made it to the harbor, but I do not see a ship flying your crest. Where are you?
[Voice]
I fly a different flag here. Here, let me draw it.
[He scrawls out his Jolly Roger.]
It's not a bad replacement, I think.
[Voice]
... Well, it is true that you're an unembroidered man.
[Though she wouldn't immediately associate the particular set of kanji with him. After a few moments of searching, she spots his banner on the horizon.]
Listen. When I come aboard, you and I have much to discuss, not the least of which is how we're to keep Ieyasu's head on his shoulders long enough for your idealism to kick in. Prepare yourself.
[She means for a fight just as much as their talk. No matter what Motochika thinks, Mitsunari won't simply accept Ieyasu continuing his life, and if she's learned anything from this, it's that Motochika seeks coexistence between the two of them. Mitsunari killing Ieyasu would certainly not be productive towards that end.]
Re: [Voice]
Aye, I'll be well prepared.
[Maybe he can find a helmet. Maybe he'll tell Xun Yu he has to borrow hers.]
