Dear magical journal thing that I'm feeling slightly more ambivalent towards as of late even though your pages are continuously filled with useless drivel that I can't be bothered to read,

I recently acquired a broom.

It's not as good as my Nimbus back home, but it'll do.

If anyone on my crew needs me — ha — check the skies.

P.S. I also purchased some chocolate frogs but one of them seems to have gone missing. Do feel free to alert me if you hear any out of place ribbits on board, but really, they've usually only got one decent jump in them so he can't have gone far.

The broom is mostly for sport. To be honest, it's not my preferred method of travel.

Self cleaning brooms, as in brooms that sweep without human assistance? They exist, of course, but they're rather pointless when one has house elves. And cleaning spells.

Then what is? I'm curious to be honest. [Considering witches are different and there are males versions, which s kind rare in her world.]

House elves? That's new to me, but then again I found that cleaning house by myself is kind of fun without magic. Mostly because water fights are fun.

I'd rather Apparate or use the Floo. Or even a Portkey. They're all much faster.

...What on earth do water fights have to do with cleaning? Especially if you're cleaning by yourself?

Never heard of any of that before.

Don't always have to clean by yourself you know. I once had a punishment where I had to clean the whole of the school without using magic. Ended up having a water fight with friends at one point.

I was just repeating what you said, you made it sound as though cleaning by yourself is fun because of water fights or something.

...That's a bloody awful punishment, though. My professors hand out similar punishments sometimes, though never the entire school. As far as I know.

It was to teach us not to do what we did, but we did it for good reason.

Sadly rules are rules and we learnt that. We also learnt that it can be hard without magic.

I generally follow the rules! [You know. Usually. Sometimes.] I could point you in the direction of some who seem to think the rules either don't apply to them at all, or that they were made to be broken.

Nah, don't need to know that. [Although they only broke the rules when it was necessary and they needed to get things back that were important or was a matter of life and death. Otherwise generally paid attention.]
