Third Curse - (Drawings + Voice, backdated to the 18th) Possession And You

...hi. This is Zozo again. I know there's a lot of crap going on, but...there's something I'd like to explain. I've heard some people don't much about possession, my captain included, so I'm hoping to clear some of this stuff up since I'm a necromancer.

[She pauses for a few moments as once blank page slowly beginning to be filled with what appears to be a picture in...is that crayon?]



This is me.



This is a ghost. Ghosts aren't the only things capable of possession, buuut they do tend to do it a lot so I'll use them. Ghosts can take possession of someone and get inside their head...





And make them do stuff they wouldn't normally do. A guy I know got possessed once. He hated dancing, but once he got possessed he couldn't stop. Turns out he was just drunk, though.

[Another pause.]

...where was I?

Oh, right. Possession. Living things can possess people too, but you don't actually have to eject your soul from your body to do it. Magic makes it a lot easier. It's in some ways less effective than the soul thing, but the stronger the magic the harder it is to break free. Plus you don't even need to be near the person to do it. That's why the witch has been able to possess so many people and make them go crazy.

It's also why the grip is so strong now. Since she's got some really strong magic, most people can't just force her out like they could with a ghost.



...which is why our best bet is to kill the witch. If she's dead her spell will be broken and everyone will go back to normal.

I was told [By Sanada who though he was going to die a the time.] that she had been caught in the same bombing that gave Yuki amnesia. I can't imagine how many others were killed. It was at least a year before the Yamato set sail and she didn't start possessing Misaki until the whole thing with the physic alien that was showing everyone visions of loved ones.

If anything that one was more like this Pirate Witch than Yurisha. Though here sole must have been outside of her body because there wasn't any craft attached to the ship's hull and shooting her didn't do much.

...it's getting kinda hard to keep track of all these people you're talking about.

Yurisha is the alien who was sent with plans for the wave motion engine so we could travel to her homeworld.

Yuki was one of the Division officers on the Yamato. She strangely looks almost exactly like Yurisha. The Gamilas even kidnapped her thinking she was Yurisha.

Misaki was the one Yurisha was possessing.

Other alien I guess was working for our enemies. She put the crew in a trance while Yuki and I were out on recon and then tried to mess with us when we tried to take back control of the ship. She was sort of purple with pointed ears. I think a Misaki possessed Yurisha killed her when she reactivated the wave motion engine.

...I feel like those answers only left me with more questions.

That's how I felt. Every time we discovered something our mission things became stranger and stranger.

So how did your mission end?

It hasn't yet.

We'd just completed our last warp that would bring us to the system Iscandar was in when I was brought here.

Sounds about right. Me and my friends were about to beat the crap out of an angel before I showed up here.

Our ship had just been fired at. I swear I didn't do more than blink because of the flash and then I have people pointing muskets in my face and trying to but me in handcuffs. [Lucky for him they didn't fit around the type of space suit he had on.]

Though I understand that's not the normal welcome to this place.
