Given the situation, I've been thinking. I've been thinking if I should sit back and just watch as other people go to the fortress, or do I ask to join and run a risk of something happening because I was careless?

I mean, I know I still can't handle my keyblade well enough yet and honestly, I have no idea if I can even use magic or not. I'm not the best fighter over all, but at the same time...

I just can't keep sitting around and hoping that things will turn out okay. I have a goal in mind and I can't reach it if I just keep standing back all the time and letting people I know and care about go off into something dangerous. I want to help if the Spades will let me of course.

That wasn't the only thing I've been thinking of, but it's the most important, at least to me. If anyone wants to talk to me, I'll be on deck.

*Adol's still very new here and has been thrown abruptly into a very chaotic situation with a fight looming in the future. It's gratifying to see that other people are also unsure of what to do. So he decides to write something back.*

I think that it's easy to sit back and let other people do all the work. It's harder to join in. Harder also if you're still learning how to defend yourself with a sword. *He doesn't know what a "keyblade" is but it sounds like it's close to a sword.*

Is there something else you can do to help?

So you're saying that I should just stand back and let the others go in?

If there's some special thing you can do that you think would be better than fighting, you should do that. But if you want to fight, you have to accept that it's not going to be easy. Defending yourself and other people never is. If you know it's going to be hard and frightening, but you think you have the courage to do it anyway, then you should fight.

There isn't anything I can so that's special honestly and I know fighting is never easy. I mean when I first started I didn't do well and ended up under some heartless I was suppose to help take out. But I tried my best anyway because my goal is to fight along my friends.

Then stick close to your friends and learn from them if they're good from fighting. If you don't give up, you'll get better. I had to learn how to fight mostly by myself and I got pretty banged up along the way.

That's good advice, I'll watch my friend fight if he plans to go in himself. So you learnt by yourself. Was it really hard?

Well, you can't learn everything by yourself. I did have a few people help along the way, but I didn't have continued lessons under a teacher or anything like that. It can be really hard, especially if you're doing something wrong and you don't realize it. I wasn't afraid to ask for help when I really needed it.

Asking for help is a good idea, I just didn't know how to ask. I mean I always wondered if my frkiend would rather I didn't, I was just too afraid to ask.

If your friend is your friend, you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. *Dogi had helped him numerous times in their adventures together.* When this is all over, if you want to learn to fight more, I could try to help you.

Really? You'd help? I'm not sure how that would work.

I'm not sure either, but maybe there's a way to work things out.

No, not really at all. I'm still getting a feel for this place, but I did join a crew and we're going to fight.

What crew did you join?

The first one I came across. Captain Motochika and his rebuilt ship The Katabami. He's...interesting. *Highly piratical is more like it but he's not a bad fellow. So far.*

That's great, though I can't say I've ever spoke to anyone in that crew though. I should though.

What crew are you and your friends with, Kairi? *He's still trying to memorize all the different ships.*

The Spade Pirates is the name of the crew me and my friends are a part of.

Okay. If our ships are ever near each other, I'll try to meet up with you for lessons. It was good to talk to, Kairi.

You need to make your own decision in that regard. You know what you can do and what you can offer. If your skills lie outside of battle, don't risk your life. You wouldn't want someone killed because they were trying to save you.

Your right I wouldn't, but I wouldn't know my own skill without actually going into battle either. It's why it's kind of a tough choice I have to make.

Then there's only one way for you to find out.
