It has been made known that I am from the past! At least, to most of you. Really, the clothing should have tipped me off, you guys have it really... really rough, whatever time it is you're from. Some of the things you wear hurt my eyes.

But, I do have an important question!

I'd love to know of important events-- favorably something closer to my time, but I won't be picky. It's nothing short of earnest curiosity! As someone presented with a rare opportunity, I'd like to take advantage of it. For history and the pursuit of knowledge!

[ And betting on the winning horse. And possibly writing a correct book of predictions to stash somewhere and secure his legacy, not that he's told anyone about that yet. ]

The gist of it is that by learning of things no one of the time should know, and using that information to change important events of the past, you could do irreparable damage to the future.

Yeah? And what if I did only good things with it? Or... harmless things, like money-making ventures?

It doesn't matter. You could set off unforeseen chains of events-

... that could invalidate the rest of your information and money-making ventures, leaving you worse off than you started.

Then I'll just gamble on it once, and make sure to get rich enough to not do it again.
