[Voice/Action for Spades and friends]
[This guy has been fighting. Hard. Even now, he's still fighting.
Even so, it's getting way beyond even something he can keep a firm grip on. Hence, a shaking hand suddenly dropping the journal onto the deck of the ship. The journal lands, open, face up in front of him. The Keyblade-wielder then drops to his knees, hand balling into fists on either side of his head, eyes widened.
Through clenched teeth, there's going to be a frustrated yell.]
NO! I won't do it! You can't make me! I won't listen to you!
[He can't. He just.
He can't kill...them...
His breathing is escalated to a rapid pant, before his eyes snap shut. Just long enough for his breathing to, very slowly, return to a slower pace. He seems to have regained composure. For a moment, he seems...somewhat...back to normal.
For a moment.
Then, he's slowly standing, brow furrowed, eyes appearing just...slightly unfocused. Suddenly, a key-shaped blade is flashing into one hand. Head tilted at a slight downward angle, he...definitely doesn't appear to be entirely in his right mind.
If anyone is near him, they might...not want to be.]

[Action]
What's wrong with you?
[Perma-Action!!!] SUP, NOBODY. Sora just wants to say hello?
...straight towards Roxas. His teeth are clenched as, mid-sprint, he very suddenly unleashes a Blizzaga attack in the blond's general direction.]
HI SORA So nice to see you again.
Sora, what are you doing?! It's me, Roxas!
It's totally the best greeting ever and you know it.
Tch!
[Is the only verbalized thing as he uses Roxas' Keyblade to thrust himself backwards by several feet. His expression tenses as he lands, lightly, on his feet. Then, without having paused so much as a second, he's immediately yelling--]
Thunder!
[That's the only warning Roxas will get. A little less than two seconds later, the area in front of him (within fifteen feet, or so), will be crackling with powerful electrical energy. Fortunately, it's brief.
He will only be able to cast three more spells, before he will have to wait an entire fifteen minutes. If Roxas is able to dodge around, until then, Sora will resort to switching over to another Form.]
Best greeting. Yep.
Hopefully that distracts him because the next thing he does is summon Oathkeeper and charge at him, keyblades dragging along the deck as he does.]
STOP THIS SORA!
This should clearly be how they spend *every* Saturday.
Coincidentally...Sora isn't going to be standing around, either. By the time Roxas is sending the flames toward him, he's raising his Keyblade. It doesn't do everything to stop the fire from hitting him. His hand does get burned.
The Nobody charging towards him, has Sora moving quickly. He's running towards the center Shrouds. There's no hesitation in his actions as he practically flings his way up the ladder of ropes, aside from the fact that his hand is injured. He's not as quick as he would have been without the injury.
He's doing all of this in an attempt to give himself a height advantage, because--
...Thundaga is being sent towards Roxas, one more time. He doesn't give a warning, but his disadvantage in speed, now, is likely working against him.]
Every weekend really. Why limit a good thing to just Saturday?
What are you doing?
[It makes no sense. Why is Sora attacking him? When he climbs the ropes, it's enough to surprise him and when the lightning comes at him, he crosses his blades above his head to block the damage from hitting him. It's close and singes one of his hair spikes.
Roxas jumps on the end of the ropes and swings at Sora's legs.]
Sora! I'm not your enemy!
Well, while we're at it, why don't we toss in Wednesdays, as well?
Fortunately, the cut isn't quite enough to slow him down in a considerable way. If he can just hold off on using magic for several minutes, his spiritual energy will build up enough for him to cast a healing spell, should he require it.]
What are you, scared?
[He tilts his head to the side a bit, giving Roxas a slight deadpan stare.]
Deal!
Then Sora finally speaks. A flash of anger courses through him and he glares back.]
I'm not scared of you!
[Not entirely true, but that's irrelevant. He holds out the blades in front of him, crossing them one over the other, ready to strike again.]
Stop this now. Before I have to hurt you.
Yes, good!
Then stop whining!
[Before he even gets the last word all the way out, he's slicing upward with his Keyblade, aiming to hit Roxas in the side.]
This is the best bonding experience ever.
I am NOT whining!
[Blocking Sora's keyblade, he does it with as strong as swing as he can manage and with his other hand he slices at him.]
The bromance is strong within these two, yes. (also lmao I don't have an icon for this moment)
Stumbling backwards, he blinks. His expression falls lax just before his eyes slowly widen.]
N-...[He then whispers.] I-...
["You have to run" is what his expression could be read as.]
Lifelong bromance. Totally.
Sora! Sora it's okay. You don't have to freak out. I can help you, just trust me okay?
[Most of all, Roxas is worried.]
So lifelong that they will be the godfathers of each other's children.
He doesn't have a choice...
Clenching his teeth he gives the Nobody another desperate look that practically begs him to run.]
Stop...doing that!
[Suddenly he lets out a long and frustrated cry lunging towards the, now unarmed, blond. Swinging the Keyblade outward, it's being aimed in the direction of Roxas' chest. It almost seems like an act of desperation--which it kind of is. He just wants Roxas to run. Get help. Do something.
Sora just really...really doesn't want to end up hurting him.]
They'll spend eternity in the afterlife in bromance.
The blow comes hard, and he barely had time to react. The best he could do was get his arms up to block it as best he could. The force sends him stumbling backwards, the new slash across both arms. He let out a cry, that hurt.
Unfortunately for Sora, Roxas isn't the type to run and hide. Like his Somebody, he wants to resolve the problem. He summons just one keyblade, Oblivion and holds it with both his hands, just like Sora does.]
Do you really want to do this?
[Blood drips onto the ground from his arms, but he doesn't notice.]
/JUMPS IN
He frowns, trying to figure it out, and then he hears it.
The faint sound of Keyblades clashing together.
It's something he's not unfamiliar with, and all at once he curses and explodes into motion, sprinting the rest of the way up to the deck.
He sees Sora right away, knows that whatever has been going on with him lately must have come to a head, sees Roxas with his bloody arms, and his hand twitches like he wants to summon his Keyblade and dive right in.
But he doesn't. Not yet.
He doubts it'll work, has a bad feeling about all of this, but if Sora can still hear him...
So he shouts his name instead, trying to get his attention.]
SORA!
Re: /JUMPS IN
Bring it--!
[Riku's voice causes his face to tense, yet again.
His chest tightens; and, yet again, he appears hesitant. That desire to fight returns, briefly. Briefly, before that voice...That loud voice...
Suddenly, Sora can remember something. Something he'd let himself brush aside. Something he'd honestly never thought, before.
Riku hasn't always been...the greatest friend...
...has he...?
...
No, stop...
Everything was his fault, back then, right...? Not to mention, he lied...and he abando--
Stop!
He can't think that way!]
Riku...go...[His voice is shaking.] Get out of here!
no subject
Sora's sick. Something is wrong with him.
[Between the two of them, Roxas couldn't tell him who was more injured, it was about even in the end, although that was a really cheap shot Sora.
After a moment he raises the keyblade and points it at Sora again.]
You don't need to hurt anyone else. After all, you can't even get past me!
[Taunting Sora to protect the others? Maybe he is. Roxas might not understand why Sora's acting so weird, but he knows he can deal with this. At least, there's a good chance he can deal with this. If he can just knock Sora out, then he won't be doing this anymore and they can fix him.]
no subject
...He's not himself. It's not a sickness, someone is controlling him.
[It's been leading up to this, he had a feeling it was coming. All the signs were there, he just. He didn't know how to stop it. He still didn't, this was different than what had happened with Ansem.
Sora was fighting it, that much was obvious, but...
Riku closes his eyes for a moment, and there's a hard, determined glint to them when they open again. He summons his Keyblade.]
Between the two of us, we might be able to knock him out.
no subject
The more they talk, the more his face hardens into a firm glare. They're talking like he isn't even there!
The battle against that voice continues, especially then. Hand tightening around the Keyblade, he lowers his head. Eyes planted on the deck, the voice is suddenly talking so loudly he can't even hear his own thoughts. Only her voice. As persuasive as she is, he still holds firm to his beliefs that she's...she's wrong. She just...is...but... Even so...
Teeth clenching, he closes his eyes a moment, when...
"...able to knock him out"
Riku's words cut into the pause in her words. So, they're going to fight him. And, actually...that might be the only way. A small part of the Sora that is still Sora would rather it be that way, than what...she keeps saying...
While there's still remotely any part of himself lingering there, he won't fight against this idea. He trusts Riku and Roxas. Eyes opening, they narrow firmly. Along with the determination, there's a message of "please stop this--stop me" lurking within. It's faint. But it's...there. But, for how long?
Both hands grip the Keyblade as he lifts it, looking from Riku, to Roxas, then back again. Without a warning, he's lunging for the one closer to directly in front of him--who just so happens to be Riku. He's watching Roxas in his peripheral vision, ready to dodge any retaliation made by his Nobody.]
no subject
Sora chooses Riku.
Roxas doesn't attack outright, not at first, but instead uses one his of his tricks to sweep around behind Sora when he gets up to Riku, and he attempts to strike him with the hilt of his keyblade. Knocking him out is a good priority.]
no subject
On the bright side, he's familiar with his friend's fighting style. He knows Sora's moves as well as he knows his own.
The bad thing is that goes both ways, and he and Sora haven't actually gone all out against each other since he gave in to the Darkness over a year ago. And Sora...
He's gotten a lot stronger in that time.
Riku grunts and shoves Sora's Keyblade away before slashing at his midsection. He's aware of where Roxas is and can guess what he's trying to do, so he tries to keep Sora's attention on him.]
no subject
He ignores the stinging sensation that immediately accompanies his latest injury. Quickly turning and back stepping away from the duo of fellow Keyblade wielders, Sora clenches his teeth and his grip tightens on his weapon.
Desperation begins to swell within him as the voice grows even louder--and more persistent. It urges him to fight harder. He tries to push it back out. Ignore it.
But...
...Everything will be fine if he simply listens to her. ...Right?
Fighting the voice has become impossible. Everything feels right. He's so tired of fighting, by this point. She promises everything will be okay. It doesn't seem fair, though. Two against one isn't right. Unless-- Sora begins doing everything to put distance between himself and Riku and Roxas. If he can do that, it'll be easier to change into a Form.]
no subject
Uncertain on that point, he grips his keyblade tighter, holding it at the ready.
He glances at Riku in askance, hopefully he knows why Sora is putting distance between them.]
no subject
He doesn't want to give Sora that space, though. If he's trying to pull off a stronger attack or gathering his magic together or something...]
Don't let up, Roxas. Come on -- together!
[With that, he raises his Keyblade again and charges after Sora.]
no subject
--and, if the other two happen to blink, they likely miss the process of the transformation. In a matter of milliseconds, he is no longer Sora, per se. Where a brown-haired Keyblade wielder had been, there's nothing more than a figure with the hunched over outline of Sora.
All color has been replaced back blackness. Yellow, glowing eyes peer at the two Keyblade wielders for a matter of one second, before Sora's moving swiftly--
--and, in a flash, he's leaping into the air in an effortless manner. Clawed hands lash out at the pair. In a flurry of kicks and scratches, he makes it quite clear he's doing everything except holding back.
On the same note, he's definitely not paying any mind to protecting himself. Speed aside, he's completely susceptible to any retaliation from Riku and Roxas.]
no subject
It seems a little unfair to be raising his blade, but those claws look sharp and deflecting him is all he can do for a moment, trying to evade him.
Speed might have been Roxas' thing before Sora changed, but keeping up with him now is something else entirely. He's a little off-balance, and feels a lot like he's losing control of the fight, even with Riku's help.]
no subject
Sora is fast like this, something Riku discovers instantly when the clawed hands come at them. He slashes out, trying to hit him in the gut and push him back to give he and Roxas some room so they can regroup.]
action;
So making her way, she stopped, she noted the keyblade and one would usually get their weapon ready, she didn't. She stopped there unarmed and her arms spread out. She wasn't going to move, or do anything. She wanted to try and get through without the use of violence. After all she knew him, she hoped that in some way, she could get through to him. With a calm expression on her face, she stood there, determined to do this.]
Sora... Please listen to me. This isn't you, I know this isn't you. I know you as the happy go lucky guy, who makes friends with everyone he meets and occasionally goofs off when he can. Your kind, compassionate and the best friend anyone could ever have. [She pauses for a moment, she was really hoping it was helping.]
So please... Put the keyblade away.
action;
That was...Kairi. The one who saved him from the darkness. The one he fought so hard against his very best friend...to save.
The more she spoke, the more he appeared to tense up. His grip on the Keyblade tightened considerably. Within seconds, the weapon itself appeared to be trembling. By the time Kairi paused in speaking, his knuckles were turning white. Unfortunately, it was not going to be that simple, though.
He barely had any willpower of his own, left. Last time Kairi saved him, he hadn't been awake for days on end, hearing a woman's voice that was promising him whatever he wanted, demanding he kill...his friends. All of them. Every single one.
His free hand tightened into a ball and he appeared to be using every bit of strength he had left in him.]
Kai...ri...go. Just...
[He then outright yelled.] Go!
action;
So she shakes her head, she knew full well she wasn't going to go.]
I won't go. I want to help.
[She moved, taking a step forward, she knew it wasn't a wise idea, but she felt like no matter what, she trusted him.]
Please, let me help you.
action;
She's only ever done everything she can to help. She's only ever done good things. She's the most pure of heart person he knows, so...
Even the idea of hurting her, in any way, is just...it's wrong. But...he doesn't know how long he can keep it up. He has to get away from her, and fast. At the moment, though, all of his focus is on keeping himself in control.]
Kairi, please...you...you don't understand! I can't...[He makes a pained face.] There's nothing you can do...
action;
If it's her then the others would be fine, that's what went through her head at least. Taking another step forward, she was getting closer and closer, arms out stretched showing that currently she wasn't armed, not even her dagger which she usually kept on her belt was nowhere to be seen.
No, she never wanted to go to that length, never to a dear friend.]
Then let me understand, Sora. Let me understand what is going on.
action;
Kairi, please...]
Stop...
[The brunette whispered in desperation, his keyblade trembling by his side. He can see that she isn't armed. That makes it even worse. So much worse. He stares hard at the deck for a moment, before tightly closing his eyes. He knows she only wants to make it better, but there's...nothing she can do.
It's nothing like when he had become the Heartless. No, this time, it's...stronger. This time it's his mind being swarmed by this...uncontrollable desire to follow her wishes and desires.
Almost like it's his very mind being lost to the darkness.]
I wish... [He wishes he could. He really does. But he...just...
He can't. That voice is becoming even louder. There's a struggling sound as he lifts his free hand to the side of his head.]
Please Kairi...I don't...[He doesn't want to hurt her!]
action;
No matter what happens, I know that... [She pauses. What did she knew really. Nothing was getting through, but she knew she could hurt anyone she cared about. What would be the purpose? It's not like it would solve anything. Removing her hand, she placed it upon her own chest.]
I'll always care for you and no matter what, I'll always try to help. Even if I can't now, I promise.
