[Without any warning or provocation a voice sounded over the journals. The most notable aspect of this broadcast was the rich Scottish accent that accompanied it.]

I want some answers, and I want them now.

[The irritation was evident in the way the words were emphasized. Despite the brief message from someone going by the name Scurvey Dog, Scrooge McDuck was not satisfied. The magical journal wasn't the most unfathomable part of this scenario. His inventor, Gyro Gearloose, could have concocted something like this... and if it actually was magic, well he'd run into enough of that within his life too.]

I demand to speak to the man in charge..............

[There was a slight pause in words, but he had one more thing to say before he was finished.]

Jones has some nerve kidnaping Scrooge McDuck. He obviously doesn’t know who he’s dealing with. Time is money, and I don’t have any time to waste. Now where is this blaggard?

Better than complaining...

The only shard piece collected so far was reached by another ship, prior to my arrival, though its whereabouts are currently unknown. I have reason to believe that my crew is hot on the location of another piece, as well.

Uh huh, the only shard so far was picked up by another ship was it? [As if that proved his point.. but since he wasn't really keen on perpetuating this argument back and forth, he let it go at that.]

I do intend to do more than just demand answers. [With a chuckle] I'd be hoarse by the end of the week if I did that.. and I'm no stranger to hard work. I just need a wee bit of time to get my bearings.

Aye- I’m afraid I have no choice in the matter. These looney locals are practically running everyone off the island.

Hmph. Figures. We free their port from Naval oppression and they still treat the lot of us as bad omens.

Whatever has put them off must be deeply ingrained into their minds. I wouldn't 'ta be surprised if they saw the navy as their allies.

That's not the impression I got. They just seem to want to be left alone.

"Allies" I suppose was too strong a word. I simply meant that they tolerated the naval presence in the hopes of ridding themselves of whom they see as "interlopers" such as you and I.

You may be correct, but the navy certainly didn't treat them any fairer. We may not be of their world, but we've never been outright cruel to them. -And yet one of the people on her ship set fire to some buildings when he first arrived.-

You mean to say, they treated them just as poorly? [That was a surprise] Then I'd say the Navy has gotten too big for their britches. [Absolute power corrupts absolutely]

Is there any'thing else you can tell me about this place? I heard an interesting tale about Davy Jones not too long ago. Do you remember a time when he addressed the newcomers personally?
