[Voice // Locked to the Triton’s Mistress Crew and Guests / excluding Elissa]
There has been a lot of talk of people acting oddly. I wondered... Have any of you noticed anything peculiar with Elissa lately?
If it is just myself she doesn’t wish to speak to I could understand.
[What with recent events maybe he had created an awkward situation... ]
Has she seemed withdrawn or more peevish than usual with anyone else?

Ever so helpful for you to chime in on this. I don't know what I would have done without the wealth of wisdom you've just imparted.
[There is a deep sigh in which Haytham sets pen aside to rub his temple. Why did this man always... no, his son, always manage to get such a rise out of him? Maybe it was a glimpse of the future he was not meant to see...]
Forgive me. Apparently this ill temper is catching.
[And don't think Haytham's older self would have apologized for snapping at you!]
Have you looked at the journals? Some thing is affected other crews in an adverse way... I just wonder if this is connected.
[Or if she's ticked off at him for more personal reasons.]
Voice
It is clear now that I should not have bothered...
[I can be snarky too, when you draw it out of me. The only reason he had replied in the first place was to confirm that he'd received the message. It had been addressed to the entirety of those aboard...]
................
[Whatever. I won't make excuses for you]
... I have noticed a pattern among the other journals. Everyone I have spoken to seems consumed with fear. None of them have been able to give me a specific cause for their concerns.
They are acting irrationally..
Voice
Controlled by fears they can not justify. Little wonder Elissa would lock herself away if this were also happening to her.
Irrational people can be very dangerous. Have you a moment? Perhaps we should speak more on this in person.
Voice
It is possible that she could be inflicted with the same sickness as the others.
[He agreed. Hopefully, whatever it was wasn’t something that was contagious]
I can spare the time. [Even if talking to me is considered useless] Where is it that you wish to meet?
Voice
On-deck. We'd be away from the rest of the crew that way.
Voice
I will be there.
[Up in the rigging, because staying on the deck is for squares]
Action
How curious not to find Connor on deck when he arrived. Eventually the young man was spotted high up in the rigging but it took a small bit of searching, and a quick glance around with eagle vision, to find him up there. It was simple enough to walk to the main mast and scurry up the side of it. He spoke only when he stood upon the same level that his son did.]
You certainly chose a discrete meeting site.
[No one could possibly overhear them here.]
I'm sure it must have occurred to you, that if things become as dangerous on this ship as they have on others you and I might be the last line of defense for the rest of the crew.
Action
[Surveying the area below, he waited to catch sight of his father. The view from up here was far superior to down below. He watched as Haytham milled around for a few moments before the Templar took to climbing]
I did not want to risk having anyone sneak up on us..
[No one would escape their vision up here. He's not sure how he felt about being grouped together with Haytham... but he had a point]
That could happen... but I also think that we should try to reason with anyone that gets afflicted first, before behaving rashly ourselves.
[It was possible to break the apples hold, it could be possible to break the whatevers hold]
Action
[You best hang onto that pole you are standing next to, this might surprise you Connor. ]
Agreed. If they can be reasoned with we should try to talk them out any kind of rash action. But... if they can not we need to be prepared to kill them, no matter who it is.
[The man standing before him was given a look. He had been trained in assassin arts but could he kill a friend if he had to?]
You don't know them as well as I, but could you kill a member of the crew if no other choice was possible?
Action
[What? Yeah... he had expected Haytham to be more ruthless than this. He was actually willing to try reason first?]
Yes. If they become hostile and we're unable to dissuade them, we'll have no choice but to end it before they can kill anyone themselves.
[Well.. Ratonhnhak:ton hadn't exactly befriended anyone on board yet. He'd been fairly difficult to approach- part of that reason being he had thought this to be a templar ship. He knew it wasn't one now, but he'd been careful up until now. So that would work in his favor if he ended up having to take anyone's life. Plus... he had considered George Washington a friend.. of sorts... so.. he would have killed him to if he had too]
That should not be a problem. I have seen others come under the control of another before... killing them is also a way of freeing them.
Action
[So younger Haytham held more compassion for his enemies than his later more jaded self would have. ]
But, we must act for the good of the rest of the crew.
Action
[.. but it’s a positive direction. You should keep to it]
I won’t allow anyone to endanger those that are not under this woman’s influence.
[So I’m with you 100%... oddly enough]
