First GIANT - A Joint Post (Action + Voice)
[Waking up when he have no recollection of falling asleep was the first thing that told Tager something was wrong. The second was when his eyes opened...there was a book on his face. Strange. Even stranger was that it didn't appear to be any sort of novel. No...more like...a journal?
Raising one large hand to his face, he picks up the book and lifts it off his face. Getting up will take him a few seconds, but eventually he's up and glancing around his surroundings. A brief look confirms his suspicions. The place is empty, save for an old fountain and what appears to be a cobblestone path leading away from his current position. He glances down at the journal in his hand for a few seconds before opening it up to read the contents. It was a bit old fashioned, but maybe it could give him some sort of explanation as to what was going on...? Worth a shot.]
Isla Empieza? Strange, there doesn't seem to be any mention of "Isla Empieza" located within my database. I better get a hold of Kokonoe and find out just what the hell is going on...
[Not knowing that his words are being broadcast over the journal, as the book is still open, Tager pulls out his cell phone...only to try and fail to contact his superior.]
...no signal. Damn. Guess I better-
Hiya, big guy! Who are you talking to, meow?
[Another new arrival suddenly leaps up, and perches on Tager's shoulder. It's a familiar voice, to him at least. She seems to be a lot less concerned about her displacement... ]
What?!
[Tager's neck automatically snaps toward Tao's direction. His brows raise in surprise...not that anyone aside from Tao can see it.]
How did you manage to sneak up on me? My sensors didn't detect anyone nearby. Don't tell me they're on the fritz...
Censors? Fritts? Is that tasty? Do you have food on you that you're not telling Tao about, meow?
[ Tao sounds a little more mischievous this time. If you're holding out on her, Tager... ]
No, saying something is on the fritz means that something isn't working. That it's broken-
[He pauses for a second. Eventually he sighs. Normally he'd continue on with his mission and stop her if she interfered, but...it would seem for the moment that he didn't HAVE a mission...aside from finding out more information. And it seemed this girl was just as lost he was.
...though to be fair she always seemed a bit lost.]
...nevermind. Come on, we need to find out why we were brought here.
[...]
...and perhaps we can find some food along the way.
[Nailed it.]
((OOC: Red text is Tager and black text is Tao! They'll be traveling together actionwise, so chances are you won't find one without the other. Journalwise is a bit different, however! Just let us know if you want Tao, Tager, or both and we'll respond as requested. If both, as a head's up it'll be a 3-way conversation.))

[voice] YOU MADE ME STAY UP THIS LONG, YOU CAN'T EXPECT ME TO BE SATISFIED WITH ONLY ONE OF YOU
... Wait. HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE. That voice that chimes in, it's definitely...]
Tao?!
[Yeah, so much for keeping his presence here secret.]
[voice] GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP LY
[ However, a quick scan of the area reveals no sign of Rawrgna the Blood-fridge. ]
I thought I heard the good guy, but I don't see him, meow. Did Tao have too much catnip?
[voice] YEAH WHAT SHE SAID
If this "good guy" is Ragna the Bloodedge, then no. I'm almost certain I heard his voice as well.
[voice] I DID eventually
... The book. [He can't believe what he's about to say, but... here goes nothing.] I'm talking to you though the book you got there.
[voice] 1/2
[ Sorry, but Tao is in possession of LOGIC. That's just silly, disembodied voice of the good guy!
... wait... does that mean... ?! ]
[voice] you will regret having me in this game
[voice] (1/2)
Unlikely. If Ragna the Bloodedge's voice is being projected through this book- [Tager shows the journal to Tao.] -then that means it's likely some sort of communication grimoire.
[voice] (2/2)
[His voice sounds a bit amused.]
There is a sizeable amount of proof that ghosts do, in fact, exist. Well, Ragna the Bloodedge? Are you truly speaking to us through the journal, or are you merely some sort of spectral abnormality?
[voice] I HATE YOU BOTH

... as such, she doesn't realize Blaze is talking to her. Whoops. ]

Not exactly. My acquaintance is a member of the kaka clan, a race of cat-like beings.

AGH so late
[ ... she completely misunderstood that. Tao, no. ]
[Voice]
[She sounds delighted.]
[voice]
so she doesn't bother Tager too much. The nickname is new, but the Kaka still knows who Hajime is talking about: ]I dunno about big guy, but Tao is definitely a friend of Rawrgnya! Are you a friend too, meow?
[voice]
[voice]
[ ... evidently Hajime triggered a sudden burst of intelligence. Treasure these moments, for they are rare indeed. ]
Anyway, what's a superhero, meow? Is it like a... "veggie-lantern"? Cause Tao's gonna be one of those too, meow!
[voice]
[voice]
[ Tao, nobody knows who you're talking about. ]

[Voice] - [Any combo is fine!]
[So it's time for more souls to be drawn into this world? Mitsuhide instinctively feels compassion for each and every one, until he is given cause to doubt them. So he responds in a gentle manner, though his voice makes it quite clear he's being serious.]
As you have a journal, I'm afraid to tell you that this place is not of your world. You, as all others with the journal, have been brought here through the powers of a being called Davy Jones.
[Voice] - [In that case have a Tager!]
The welcome is appreciated, though it's a shame it wasn't under better circumstances. Might I ask who I am speaking with?
[Voice]
[And now he sounds formal indeed; it's a natural reaction from Mitsuhide, when it comes to introductions.]
In this world, I serve as First Mate upon the ship known as the Koumyou.
[Voice]
[He pauses for a second.]
I see. So you're a step ahead of the game, hmm? In the journal entry I read a..."Scurvey Dog" mentioned something about joining a crew.
[Voice]
[And not one of those months was uneventful.]
Scurvey Dog's words have ever been a help for us; she gives us assistance, however restricted, that has frequently gotten her into trouble. In this she is indeed wise. Sailing these seas alone would be a dangerous and lonely thing to do, and we have no real choice but to take to the seas.
