VOICE❧

[ Sometime in the middle of the night, there will be a strange sort of chattering from the journals. It's definitely not human in any way, but doesn't sound like any kind of native rodent found in this world. It lasts for a few seconds too long in-between sniffing and what could be deciphered as claws scratching at a furry face before another voice can be heard in the background. ]

Grace? [ Yaaaaaawn. For those who have spoken with Amy before, it's easy to tell it's her even while she's half-asleep. ] What are you doing? That's not a toilet or food.

[ Another yawn, this time stifled by something covering her mouth. ] Hello? Is anyone awake?

['Toilet or food'? Dave was concerned this was getting close to a filthy situation.

So, he decided to be a part of it.]

Yeah, all of us evil ghosts haunting your room are totally awake now. Thanks for waking us up.

[personal profile] dersite_dj 2014-01-07 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, we'd just mid-level losers.

Haunting your chamber pot and some creaky floorboards. The windy noise chick is our boss.

[...Was this chick somehow Jade? Dave stared at his journal.]

Well, shit, I don't think any ghost haunting a chamber pot can be anything but a loser.

You don't look at a janitor and go, 'That guy's going places.'

More like, 'That's the place that guy's gonna be in forever.'

Eh. When you die, you can take my job and I can retire or whatever as thanks.

Oh, right. That's how death works. Just so you know.

You're askin' a lot of questions, here.

What you really need to think about is how you can effectively haunt a chamber pot more than what the chamber pot does all on its lonesome.

...I-I'm kinda afraid of asking what's even going on.
conntego: (You are the night time fear)

[personal profile] conntego 2014-01-08 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
...No I mean what Grace is doing! It... I was just afraid to ask about both of those things.

[TOILET OR FOOD?!]
conntego: (No light)

[personal profile] conntego 2014-01-11 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ooohh okay.... they were papers. Alright.

[...]

Wait a second it's late! You should sleep, Amy.
maskedtyrant: (Deadpan | go on?)

[voice]

[personal profile] maskedtyrant 2014-01-03 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm awake.

[Codi's never slept well to begin with, and despite being on this ship for a couple months now she hasn't improved.]

Do I want to know what's keeping you awake, or should I just let you go back to sleep?
maskedtyrant: (Thinking | subtle eyeroll)

[personal profile] maskedtyrant 2014-01-05 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, I was already awake. Grace had nothing to do with it.

[...and is too cute for Codi to be mad at even if she did.]

Do you want some tea or something while you're up? I was about to make myself some anyways.
maskedtyrant: (Grin | Conversational)

[voice/action]

[personal profile] maskedtyrant 2014-01-07 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, sure thing! I'm in the kitchen.

[As she is, wrapped in a blanket and gently sipping from a cup of steaming herbal blend. There is a metal pan of water next to her, but it is open to the air and already cold.]
maskedtyrant: (confident)

[personal profile] maskedtyrant 2014-01-11 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[Codi does not mind! Being in people's bubbles is something she's used to doing herself, and if she wasn't trying to store charge so that she could heat up the kettle again, she might even be tempted to give Amy a prod or something.]

[Instead she waves, takes a gulp of her bitter tea and places it on the counter.]
--Nah, you weren't slow, I've just had this out for a while. Get some leaves bundled--

[The ginger points down the counter to the tin of fancy dried tea leaves she purchased in Port Chance. She could have done this herself, but then she wouldn't have a way to distract Amy while she heated the water.]

--grab a cup and I'll get this ready again. [She grabs the kettle and turns her back.] Two seconds.
grizzly_tea: (Ugh... Paperwork)

I was wondering what could possibly be making such a bizarre noise from this diary, now you've finally confirmed for me that it's someone's pet. I suppose it's my own fault for leaving my journal open while trying to finish some paperwork.
grizzly_tea: (Really?)

[personal profile] grizzly_tea 2014-01-06 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Right... a companion. Please excuse my drastic mislabeling of such a fine... companion.

[Yeah, Maribelle is just gonna... pretend she doesn't find it all as ridiculous as it sounds. Just as soon as she can figure out how to do it without being sarcastic.]

As for what I'm working on, I'm keeping a detailed record of all the supplies our ship has. This way we can set a time table for when our crew needs to return to port to re-stock our supplies, and we can adjust accordingly with new arrivals. Some will eat more than others, and some will eat less, and it's important to get a good balance so that food doesn't spoil, or people won't go hungry. Normally I'd have finished hours ago, but today we had a bit of a birthday celebration, so it threw off my schedule slightly.
