REBEL 2 [ voice + action for Katabami ]
[ voice ]
[Are you people done with your Christmas cheer bullshit? Good, because a certain Grim Reaper is kind of sick of listening to that. Not to mention there are more important things to consider than gifts comparison.Especially given the presents he got.]
Next week is New Year, huh... Feels wrong to have another one this soon.
[He says that more to himself than whoever might be listening, but he does have the journal open for a reason. Namely, a question to whom it may concern:]
... Does anyone even know which year it is here?
[Because finding out about this would require actually talking to locals, and god forbid we have that, right?]
[ action ]
[While it should already be obvious to the crew of the Katabami that Ragna is not the most social person, in the past few days he's been obviously making even more effort at avoiding people than usually. It would seem ever since they got back from the Christmas Ship, the only presence he can bear to deal with is that of Lord Buffalo Toritaro "Twitchy" Stuffington.
So that's what he does. Spends most of his time below deck hanging out with the pet turkey.]

voice;
...of course, the real question is also if that year really corresponds anyone's home world's actual history, much less yours or my own. There are people here from enough varied origins, it strikes me that it's very possible our calendars don't all exactly match up, either.
voice;
[He hasn't actually taken it into consideration when asking the question, though now that she mentions it, he figures it would make sense. Since literally nothing about this world is similar to his own, the calendar might be different as well.]
voice;
There are obviously enough oddities that I do not also believe we have simply been transported to the past.
voice;
[He should've expected something to that effect, but it still catches him off guard. Sure, it doesn't matter since DIFFERENT WORLDS and such, but talk about blast from the past.]
voice;
voice;
2200.
voice;
Even if we were from the same world, with the way things advance so fast just now, we may as well be from entirely different ones.
voice;
... Yeah, I guess.

voice; sorry Ragna, all rainbows here... until a few days later;
voice; call him then
voice;
Ahhh. It's too much to think about!
voice;
[Ragna groans a little at the girls questions.]
Are you stupid? This isn't your world, so it might as well be 1st century and you wouldn't be a day younger.
[... That's kind of assuming every other world is past that point.]
voice;
Well aren't you just grumpy!
voice;
[Said in the most flat tone possible.]
voice;
[ What a pain in the neck, huh? ]
voice;
... Ever heard of sarcasm?
voice;
Huh? Of course I've heard of it!
Everyone knows about sarcasm... right? You do, don't you? That's why you're bringing it up suddenly.
voice;
You really are stupid.

... And why the hell would I want a party in the first place?
action; let's pretend this isn't horribly late
That is why she eventually approaches.]
Don't you have any work to do?
[Her words aren't accusing, but they are to the point.]
action; I'm good at pretending that
... So obviously the right way to deal with it is sit here and push the turkey away with his foot whenever the little fucker decides it would be fun to peck him. In other words, he just made a friend.
When Xun Yu enters, he narrows his eyes and glares at her with a scowl-- which admittedly is an improvement over him reaching for his sword at a slightest movement a few weeks ago.]
... If you expect me to lick the deck clean, then forget it.
[He's done whatever Sea Devil asked him to in the morning, and he's not really the type to do more than that of his own accord, much less in this mood.]

There is no need to be ridiculous. If you have finished all of your assigned tasks, I could use an extra pair of hands.
no subject
Right, right; I'm going. Keep your armored panties on, lady.
[Gentleman as always.]
no subject
Thank you.
[It may not be said with enthused gratitude, but she's at least being somewhat polite. She turns on her heel, her red cloak swaying with the sharpness of the motion, and leads on.]
no subject
... The hell do you need me for, anyway?

[It's menial labour, hazardous, and difficult to do alone. Nor can it be done in one fell swoop. Honestly, Xun Yu doesn't know why their captain and previously present crew members failed to sort and store their loot in the beginning, instead of dumping it all together in a series of haphazard and frankly dangerous towers. It's the kind of disorganisation she just cannot let continue.]
All of them need to be inventoried and stored properly, which I will take care of once we are done.
