Second Rose: Not wishing for anyone [Written]

Am I the only one who wouldn't want anyone from home to be here?

Besides the cold, it isn't exactly a vacation here. With this place being so unpredictable, I'd rather have those I know back home in familiar territory.

[He's trying his best to keep his handwriting from getting too shaky.]

I'm glad they are with me because I think otherwise I couldn't do this.

Are you sure? I could give you a handshake, those help.

Do you really think that? [He doesn't agree with such thinking, but that's just his own experience.]

Would just a handshake really work? [He's been watching the others, and they aren't handshaking.]

I really do.

It would actually, I've shaken some hands and it worked. Probably not as well as a hug, but it's still something.

Then you'll need to be a lot stronger than you are now if they get taken away from this world.

[He knows it's harsh, but needs to be said.]

I guess a handshake would be fine.

[To be honest, she knows that already.]

I know, it's what I'm planning and trying to do. I wanted to be abe to fight at their side, but I always want to be able to fight alone should the time arise.

Would you tell me where you are so I can find you?

I'm on my way back down below, but I'll wait for you on the deck.

Okay. I'll be right there when you need me.

[She makes it sound like he's in distress...]

You can come now, if you'd like.

I can. [She guesses he doesn't want to be cold for much longer so she can understand.]

I'll be on my way then. [And she is walking there right now.]

[Actually, he was merely unsure about it all. Plus, being warm did sound nice right now.]

[He'll wait for her, then.]

[It takes her a few minutes if not more to actually find him. When she does, she smiles, holding out her hand.]

Okay, lets shake and keep warm.

[When she arrives and gets straight to the point, Aya smiles softly and brings his hand to hers. His eyes widen as he could already feel the warmth going through his hand and the rest of his body.]

[He had no idea a simple handshake could do this.]

[Eventually, Aya lets go, looking amazed as he examines his hand.]

[Kairi just looked on, not really being all that fazed considering she's done this a few times now. But never the less the smile upon her lips just shows that she knows it worked at least.]

It is surprising. I know I was when it first happened.

[Aya looks to her and smiles softly, a bit embarrassed that he apparently looks that surprised.]

Thank you. [The chill is very much gone, but he can already tell it'll be back soon.] How long does it last?

[She puts a finger to her chin to think about it.]

It varies, depending on the type of contact really. Hand shake probaly won't last as long as say, a hug.

[Aya doesn't think he'd be willing to hug anyone, and sure no one is going to do so to him. Except maybe Luffy, but he's a weird kid.]

I guess it can't be helped. [Meaning he'll just freeze to death.]

[She doesn't understand you.]

I would hope I could be of help again,. but I can't say it will work after so many times.

[No one does.]

You've been helpful already. [He smiles softly before nodding at the last part of her sentence. She does have a point.] If we become immune to it, then there's nothing to stop us from freezing to death.

I know and that's the most worrying thing about it. Though I like to believe that it well stop soon enough before that becomes a thing.
