Second Rose: Not wishing for anyone [Written]

Am I the only one who wouldn't want anyone from home to be here?

Besides the cold, it isn't exactly a vacation here. With this place being so unpredictable, I'd rather have those I know back home in familiar territory.

Did you live in a world similar to this one, then?

Not really. Our world is much bigger and less watery. I'd actually say back home could be worse, but I'm kind of holding my tongue on that one. Besides it's peaceful back home for now and since each year we have some whacky guy thinking he can take over the world or the oceans, I'd like for them to have a break anyway.

I'm not sure if this place would be any better than back in your home.

That's why I said I would hold my tongue for now. Odds are things could get worse.

I wonder what though. I mean with gem hunting and those curses, what else could possibly happen. can think of a few things, not sure about you.

That's just inviting something bad to happen.

Even if I said nothing, I doubt that nothing would happen.

I'm really curious however as to what sort of magic is being used to cause such things, but there is no way to find out.

It would be ironic if the Navy knew and they aren't bothering with telling anyone else.

Considering our relationship with them, if they did they wouldn't say anyway.

I wouldn't really expect them to, anyway.

We're just doing things for ourselves. Some in different ways than others, but we do it.

I think whatever gets the job done for each of us is the best way to do things.

I have to agree. Anyway I best get back to work on the ship. With our numbers low I have to do more than one job.
