Azula didn't turn up for breakfast this morning. Elissa found Captain Barbossa and Jack missing when she went to take them their lunch. While they didn't turn up here I hope Barbossa manages to locate the people he was looking for when he arrived here.

So if everyone would stop plotting about the raid meet up on deck we sorely need to sort of our chain of command.

So many people are vanishing! I hope they get back to their own homes.

There's no way of truly knowing, but I am looking for battle that will be my death and it's out in the sea of stars not here.

You think they could've died?

No, we all have things we were meant to do where we came from.

[It doesn't take Hornblower long to come up to the deck.

Well, admittedly, this makes it a bit easier for his plan. Either time to take the sailboat he never got around to selling and set out on his own -- even temporarily with Kenway -- or to involve the rest of the crew in the plan. Depending on who their new captain was and what course they felt best.

Things needed to be reordered, with a captain gone, so it would be as good a time as any -- far easier than most -- to take his leave if necessary.

He touches the side of his bicorn hat to Harlock when he appears, still Navy enough for the salute.]

So we're now without a captain. One thing after another.

[The loss of the Captain did leave a power gap. A ship could function with other members gone but it was crippled without a leader. This was a situation that needed to be solved quickly. It would not end well should the Navy discover them like this.
Haytham stepped onto the deck and over to where the emergency crew meeting was taking place. ]

The timing is poor, but at least we do seem to be out of the Navy's reach for now. We should see this matter settled quickly, before any decisions affecting the ship would be required.

Elissa was already on deck, seated upon the stairs. She was looking rather grim. Barbossa had been maddening, but she'd still been a little fond of him and had trusted his abilities as a sailor. Now who did they have to keep them safe on the water?

"Mister Hornblower is ranking officer at present. The question is whether or not he can lead us," she said toward Harlock and Haytham. " I have experience as a leader, but not as a ship's captain."

[Harlock does have experience as a ship's captain, only it's the wrong type of sea.]
There's a bit of a learning curve going from space pirate to sea pirate. The DeathShadow's helm was purposely anachronistic and the only thing that operates similar what we have here.[Tochrio had favored world war two battleships for inspiration.]

[It seemed everyone had some measure of leadership experience. Haytham was no different in that. ]

I have commanded men in both times of peace and times of war.

[He moved to place his arms behind his back as he nodded towards Horato.]

However I believe in this case the one with the most sailing experience should command. If Mr. Hornblower is up to the task?

Well, crap.

With things about to start heating up, that might suck.

We did not get the chance to hear his thoughts on Isza Empieza. Most of us can not stand by to let unassuming people be executed for getting dragged here. Barbossa likely would not have been interested in risking his head and ship for them. I was thinking of getting a lift from your ship.

Well, we don't really have a whole lot of room for stragglers, though we'd take all the help we can get.

But what about your ship?

If we do organize a vanguard and the Murderess is part of it you'd have to temporally take on a few people for the day or so anyway.
That was before he vanished and I'm not very picky about where I sleep. He wasn't a fan of the crew approaching him with suggestions on how to run things.

No, I mean, what is the Mistress doing, then?

Hell, who's in charge there, now?

We're having a meeting to sort that out once everyone gets up here.

Give us a shout when you do, then.

I don't necessarily mind folks just taking a hop through the Nav, but I don't know how some folks might feel about us risking our ship where others aren't.

Missing? Missing like Jack? [Not amused. Not at all. But not unexpected. Both Barbossa and Jack were wily men. It made sense that they might both find a way out of the Locker. Especially since both men had come back from the dead once before already.]

Sparrow? Unfortunately that is likely the case, Jack the monkey seems to have gone with him. [Harlock had gotten used to the monkey these past few months. Jack was a decent indicator of Barbossa's mood.]

[Gibbs had forgotten about the monkey when he asked. Barbossa had been gone before, as in dead and the monkey had remained aboard the Pearl. Both gone only meant one thing, they had escaped.

It seems then that fortune favours them. And its a fine mess they've gone and gotten us into.
