Since everyone is talking about raiding the island, I wanted to ask if there was a supporting role one could do while it was going on?

After what happened a week ago, I don't think I could handle being on the front lines right now. I want to help, so logically being support is the only option left for me, but I don't quite know things like healing spells or anything. So I thought I would at least ask.

Eyes and ears kiddo. The hardest part of anything is keeping an eye out at all times in all directions. Don't underestimate the value of that. Even with how much I can fight, I feel blind out there because it's impossible to keep a track of all that's going on.

So basically keeping an eye out for everyone is one of the better ideas to help.

Aye. And coordinating everyone. Do you know anything about maps?

I know a bit as I was planning to learn how to navigate while I was here.

Excellent. I can teach you how to use the ones we have for the battle purpose, though I suppose we'll have to use the journals for communication without a den den mushi system.

People use maps for battles too? I didn't actually know that.

First thing you should know is that maps are used for everything.

Then I can say now I've learnt that.

I have a long way to go before I even start to understand and I know that full well.

No worries, cartography is something I've been doing for years and I still learn something new every day.

So long as you want to learn, you will.

So even though you've done it for years you are still learning. I would have never thought that talking to you at all.

I suppose my age is showing again, but you always keep learning about the things you love.

Even to my Pops' d-- err that is, the last time I saw him, I was still learning new things from him.

Kids like Ace are always fun to watch because they never stop growing. Whatever Ace does, he learns from it. That's why he's such a strong opponent. He always tries new things so you'll never know what he'll do next. That and he never stops.

I wouldn't be able to guess how old you were, so I don't honestly think it's showing.

So our captain can be unpredictable if one can never know what he'll do next. I guess that is a positive if you were to ever be in a fight like we have done and probably will do from here on.

I appreciate that, Lass. [Because he is old and he will never tell his age.]

Aye. There are a few things I know about him for certain, but they aren't the kind of things I could fight him with. But even just sparring in our little matches, I know I have to keep learning if I want to stay ahead, because he always will. So if I don't grow with him, he'll surpass me before I know it, eh.

So in order to keep up one must keep learning? Maybe that will be something I'm always doing, there is no end, that means there is no limit.

Aye. No end, no limit.

Even the strongest man in my whole world kept learning things. He had to, otherwise we'd take his place.

So long as you keep at it, you'll be better off than you ever could have realized.

Then I'll do my best at learning as much as I can.
