[He scratches his head and looks a little puzzled at that. He's not sure why he needs to learn this kind of thing, but even his conversation with Riku made him realize that maybe things in Japan weren't the same as elsewhere. Natsuno honestly never thought about it.]

They were okay though. We're all okay now. Everyone's safe right? I feel bad Riku and Ace had to come save me, but it's better than being killed. I promised Riku I wouldn't die before he did.

They're okay but... they were hurt. Okay, so the Doctor wasn't but Ikki was, and Ace was exhausted. I'm definitely not okay with that. At all.

*She takes a deep breath and folds her arms over her chest, shaking her head*

I won't let it happen again. But yeah - if you can hold onto promises like that, that's a good idea.

*She manages a small smile, pleased that it means he isn't thinking so suicidal anymore*

Riku was a little hurt too, I think, but he's fine now. They all are. They will all be okay Selphie, and the alternative is worse. It's okay not to want that to happen again, and really, I'm with you there, but it's nice they came to save us.

[Natsuno isn't. Honestly, he hasn't been for awhile, but until Riku pushed him, he'd still been considering it from time to time, but he has doubts.]

We could have been left to our own fates. That would have been safer for the crew.

*Her shoulders rise and fall as she takes a deep, deep shaky breath*

Yeah. It would have. But... Maybe. Maybe it's good to be saved. I'd save them all right back! I just - I kinda even want that chance. Just in case. To fight and get my revenge, make it fair for everyone.

*Selphie pulls a face once she's done speaking, like she knows that maybe that sounds weird, or just plain stupid*

From what we know, sailing around here isn't that safe, and I'm sure you'll have the chance to do just that. The longer we're here, the more likely we're going to be to run into conflict, and after what we did there, I'm sure they are looking for us.

[It's not entirely stupid. Natsuno gets it, he understands this feeling very well.]

Good! They can come at me! Just wait til they get what those bastards deserve!

*Despite her language, she looks remarkably cheery and happy about it, moving back a step to twirl her nunchaku*

They're gonna get in so much trouble if they even think of looking at my friends!

[Natsuno gives her half a little smile and he nods.]

You'll have your revenge. Just because you were taken down that means nothing. Like I said, I believe you have a lot of skill.

[Is he trying to cheer her up? That might be the case...]

*If he is, it sure seems to be working, and she twists her nunchaku round some more, jumping on the balls of her feet*

I sure do! I just gotta keep practising as best I can to keep those skills up!

Good. Even I'm going to learn to fight somehow.

[Natsuno scratches his cheek. He's pretty uncertain about that because he's never been into fighting.]

Really? But why? You've got other skills.

*She rests her weapon over her shoulder and tilts her head at him*

[Natsuno snorts.]

What skills? I can crack open a book and study pretty hard, I'm not too bad at racing games, and I suppose I can take damage.

All your cool freaky vampire skills! They're pretty horrible, and that's coming ftom soemeone who actually knows and likes you!

And I guess studying is good if you've got some books to throw?

*And she even giggles a little at her own joke*

[Natsuno rolls his eyes at Selphie, because that was pretty bad for a joke.]

I'm not sure how practical those skills are. I don't think vampires fight much, mostly they stalk their prey, which in that way I guess it's useful. Doing illusions is pretty tiring though. It's hard.

Alright. But you can practise and I bet it will get easier. But - you don't really need to fight. There's enough of us on board that so that. If it's not something you really wanna do, or not something you think you'll love, well, you're better off saving that time and energy.

Love it? I don't know about that, but I don't think I just want to be dead weight on this crew.

[He runs his hand through his hair, exhaling.]

I mean, I don't even contribute nautical knowledge. I don't think hanging out with Riku is that constructive. [Well, not for anyone else.]

*Sorry, but when he says 'dead weight' that makes her giggle a little*

*She tilts her head as she looks at him, thinking about that Riku comment and smirking slightly*

Okay then, mister, so what weapon will you use?

A weapon? [Natsuno blinks at her.]

I don't know.

How are you gonna know what skills to develop if you don't even know what kinda weapon you want?

*She shakes a finger at him then shrugs the shoulder her nunchaku are hanging from*

Want something like this, or something more close contact?

I really don't know anything about weapons. At all. I've only ever used a stake and I don't have one anymore, Riku threw it overboard.

So you wanna just fight with your fists? I'm glad Riku threw that away though. No offense, but a stake is a totally lame weapon.

*Not to mention what he might have potentially tried to use it for. Then again, that'll be why Riku got rid of it*

[He could just make a new one, but it's not very practical against anyone who's not a vampire.]

I never even used it...I just had it. I don't know about that either. I'm not very tall, I might be at a disadvantage against most men.

*For that ridiculous comment, Selphie reaches up to tap him on the forehead*

Uh, hello? Have you seen how small I am? I don't go running around picking my enemies based on my height. If I did, I'd mostly be fighting children, and that wouldn't be nice!

[Natsuno blinks and shakes his head.]

I never really thought about it, but when Ace was showing me how to punch, it seemed awkward for me.

Well, that's cause you shouldn't go punching someone taller. That's what kicking's for, and weapons! I'd not get very far if I relied on punching tall guys that are bigger than you!

I suppose...I'll have to consider it.
